From January to April this year, the total import and export volume of wool textile raw materials and products was 4.47 billion US dollars, up 7.5% year on year. Among them, the export volume was 3.28 billion US dollars, up 12.11% year on year; The import volume was US $1.18 billion, down 3.4% year on year.

Most of the major export wool textile products showed growth. Among them, the export of wool yarn was 390 million US dollars, up 8% year on year; Exports of wool fabrics reached US $160 million, up 20% year on year; The export of wool woven clothing reached 240 million US dollars, up 21% year on year; The export of wool sliver reached US $200 million, up 21% year on year; The export of blankets reached US $890 million, up 7% year on year. However, since this year, the export situation of various cashmere products has declined. From January to April, the export volume of various cashmere products totaled 410 million dollars, down 7.1% year on year, of which the export of cashmere sweaters declined rapidly. From January to April, the export volume of cashmere sweaters was 70 million dollars, down 37.1% year on year.

From January to April, the total import of wool was 94000 tons, up 17.2% year on year. The import of wool was 700 million US dollars, up 4% year on year, accounting for 59% of the import of wool textile raw materials and products, up 4 percentage points. Among them, the quantity of wool imported from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and other major wool producing countries increased rapidly.
