More Than 3 Million Mu Cotton Fields In Bazhou, Xinjiang Are Blooming
In recent days, more than 3 million mu of cotton fields in Bazhou, Xinjiang ushered in the flowering period.
On the vast Gobi Desert in Bazhou, Xinjiang, blocks of high standard cotton fields are orderly arranged. In the green cotton fields, cotton flowers are blooming one after another. The milky white, light yellow, light red and deep purple cotton blooms heartily in the face of the summer sun, accumulating strength for the golden autumn harvest.
The flowering period of cotton is from June to August every year. It takes about 30 days for cotton to blossom from budding. Each cotton plant can bloom 10-15 flowers, and the flowering period lasts about 50 days. Cotton blooms in the morning. The color of the flower is milky white to light yellow. After pollination, it gradually turns pink. The next day, it gradually turns purplish red.
At present, 3.2 million mu of cotton fields in Bazhou, Xinjiang have entered the peak flowering period, which will last until the end of August.
