According To The USDA Report, The Signing Of American Cotton In The New Year Has Made A Good Start
According to the report of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), from August 1-3, 2023, the contracted export volume of American upland cotton in 2023/24 will be 63038 tons, and the main buyers will be China (34981 tons, including 272 tons cancelled), Pakistan (30146 tons, including 68 tons cancelled), Vietnam (3155 tons, including 295 tons re exported from South Korea, 23 tons cancelled), Honduras (2701 tons, including 23 tons cancelled) Turkey (1180 tons, including 1998 tons cancelled), Bangladesh (11395 tons) and El Salvador (704 tons) cancelled the contract.
In 2024/25, the contracted export volume of American upland cotton was 681 tons, and the main buyer was El Salvador.
Total sales of 488618 tons were carried forward from 2022/23 as of July 31, 2023.
From July 28 to 31, 2023, the export shipment volume of American upland cotton in 2022/23 will be 44447 tons, mainly to China (31076 tons), Bangladesh (4835 tons), Pakistan (2270 tons), Turkey (2202 tons), and Vietnam (1680 tons). In 2022/23, the export shipment volume of American upland cotton was 2673493 tons, down 11% from 2991656 tons in 2021/22.
On August 1-3, 2023, the shipment volume of American upland cotton exports in 2023/24 will be 29283 tons, mainly to China (15391 tons), Bangladesh (3337 tons), Pakistan (1430 tons), Turkey (1385 tons), and El Salvador (1180 tons).
On August 1-3, 2023, the contracted export volume of American Pima cotton in 2023/24 will be 24 tons, and the main buyers will be India (68 tons) and China (68 tons).
A total of 7128 tons of sales were carried forward from 2022/23 as of July 31, 2023.
From July 28 to 31, 2022, the export shipment volume of American Pima cotton in 2022/23 will be 477 tons, mainly to India (386 tons) and Pakistan (32 tons). In 2022/23, the export shipment volume of American Pima cotton was 69235 tons, down 32% from 101764 tons in 2021/22.
On August 1-3, 2022, the export shipment volume of American Pima cotton in 2023/24 will be 227 tons, mainly to India (204 tons) and Japan (23 tons).
