The First "Ethnic Traditional Costume Design Skills Competition" In Pu'Er City Was Successfully Held

Recently, the first "Ethnic Traditional Costume Design Skills Contest" in Puer City with the theme of "Splendid Puer and Beautiful Silk Road" was successfully held in Jinggu Dai and Yi Autonomous County. 78 design works were displayed in the contest, which injected new vitality into the inheritance and development of ethnic costume culture in Puer City, Yunnan Province.

Inspired by the national culture of Puer, the works of this competition ingeniously integrate the elements of color, pattern, material and other elements of traditional clothing into the design, creating works with both tradition and fashion, and showing the unique cultural connotation and aesthetic taste of all ethnic groups. Most of the designers of the competition are front-line industrial workers in 10 counties (districts) of Pu'er City, as well as professional designers, new industrial workers, employees of enterprises and institutions, and educators. The competition finally selected the grand prize, including the best creative award, the best visual award, the best craft award, one first prize, two second prizes, four third prizes and one best performance award.

Pu'er University participated in the planning and guidance of this competition. At the award performance evening, 11 Lao students from Pu'er University also performed two programs, adding color to the evening.
