    On January 18, Taotian Group released the list of the first batch of "Taotian 10 billion industrial belts": in 2023, there will be 50 industrial belts with a turnover of more than 10 billion, covering 21 cities such as Jinhua, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Foshan, Jiaxing, Baoding, and 27 categories such as women's clothing, residential furniture, mobile phones, beauty and skin care, and jewelry.

    The research report of Taotian Research Center shows that the "e-commerce+industrial belt" model has accelerated the pace of digital and brand transformation of the industrial belt: the penetration rate of industrial electrified merchants is still increasing, and businesses are actively "entering Taotian"; The industry leading merchants have become the largest source of Tmall's new brands, accounting for more than 40% of the new brands.

    It is understood that this list is based on the statistics of cities at prefecture level and above. On Taobao, Tmall and 1688 platforms, the industrial belt with the sum of the annual transaction volume of a class one commodity more than 10 billion yuan is the "10 billion industry belt".

    The list shows that the first 50 Taotian 10 billion industrial belts are densely distributed in the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River Delta, the most developed areas in China's manufacturing and e-commerce economy.

    From the provincial perspective, Guangdong Province has created as many as 21 10 billion industrial belts due to its strong manufacturing base and commercial advantages. In the Pearl River Delta cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan and Dongguan, the industrial belt of women's clothing, residential furniture, mobile phones and 3C digital accessories ranks first in China. Chaoshan has also performed very well, especially in the Shantou toy industry belt. In recent years, the young generation of leaders have released new products through Tmall and made cross-border joint branding of brands, transforming the building blocks that used to be "sold by catty" into a national brand favored by the post-00s.     The third tier and inland cities are catching up with each other, and a total of 16 10 billion industrial belts have been created. Industries with relatively weak foundation have developed rapidly by seizing the e-commerce outlet.     Among the growth oriented industrial belts, 10 are from the central and western regions, and 15 are from third tier cities and below. Small and medium-sized enterprises in traditional manufacturing industry actively explore online. Baoding, Handan, Xingtai, Jingzhou, Cangzhou, Dezhou, Hengshui, Ji'an and other cities are among the "growth oriented industrial belts" due to the rapid growth of e-commerce.

    Jewelry category is one of the trend categories of Taobao Tmall. Shenzhen jewelry is not only an industrial belt of 10 billion yuan, but also a growth industrial belt.     The larger industrial belt is mainly concentrated in the consumer goods industry, while many of the faster growing industries come from the industrial goods industry. The 50 "10 billion industrial belts" are the result of the integrated development of e-commerce and industrial belts for more than 20 years. According to statistics, in the first 11 months of 2023, e-commerce accounted for 27.5% of China's retail sales of consumer goods, a record high.
