Nantong Ecological Environment Bureau Held A Press Conference

Recently, Nantong Ecological Environment Bureau held a press conference to release and interpret the Guiding Opinions of Nantong on Strengthening Pollution Reduction and Carbon Reduction to Promote the Green Development of Key Industries in a Coordinated Way, in which it was clear that the printing and dyeing enterprises in the main urban area would gradually withdraw, explore the identification of key monitoring points of printing and dyeing outside the area, and gradually complete the layout adjustment and relocation of the printing and dyeing industry in the city.

Nantong requires that new printing and dyeing enterprises must enter an industrial park established in accordance with laws and regulations and with a printing and dyeing orientation. The process, equipment, energy efficiency and cleaner production level of new, renovated and expanded printing and dyeing projects have basically reached the international advanced level. New projects and existing projects have set access and improvement goals according to the water discharge per unit product and the comprehensive energy consumption per unit product. The Guiding Opinions has been revised and upgraded on the basis of the 2021 version, putting forward new requirements for eight major industries, including printing and dyeing, equipment manufacturing, and electronic information, further focusing on pollution reduction and carbon reduction, green transformation in key industry segments, and more emphasis on adhering to carbon reduction, pollution reduction, green expansion, and growth synergy.
