Etuoke Banner, Ordos City: Cashmere High Quality And Good Price Award To Make "Soft Gold" Real Gold

Recently, the 2023 Cashmere Quality and Good Price Award and Supplementary Commendation Conference in Ordos and the 2024 Cashmere Quality and Good Price Collection and Storage Launching Ceremony were held in Etuoke Banner, and 4.89 million yuan of high-quality and good price award and supplementary funds were distributed to 761 farmers in Etuoke Banner and Etuoke Qianqi. Among them, all of the demonstration households who won the subsidy of more than 80000 yuan are farmers and herdsmen in Etuoke Banner, which is inseparable from the strong support of the Etuoke Banner Committee and the government for the development of cashmere industry.

Siqing Bilig is a herdsman in Wuren Duxi Gacha, Otok Banner. He won more than 200000 yuan of cashmere subsidies at the cashmere premium award and subsidy conference, becoming the "biggest winner" of the conference, which is the fourth consecutive year that he won the cashmere premium award and subsidy.

For more than 30 years, Siqing Bilig has been committed to raising Albas white cashmere goats, and has formed a mature feeding system.

He records and files the breeding, immunization, cashmere fineness and other information of his own sheep, so as to facilitate observation of the growth of sheep, adjustment of feeding "formula", scientific breeding and improve breeding efficiency.

After years of breeding, more than 400 white cashmere goats of Siqing Bilige family are pure and can provide breeding services for farmers and herdsmen in Gacha. In 2022, Siqing Bilige won a cashmere subsidy of more than 140000 yuan, and in 2023, it was rated as the core household of high-quality cashmere collection and storage.

Since 2022, Etuoke Banner has arranged an annual fund of 10 million yuan to award and subsidize Albas cashmere with high quality and good price. Based on the market price, if the cashmere fineness is less than 14.5 microns, a top subsidy of 500 yuan/kg will be given, and high-quality cashmere in the seed preservation area will be preferentially stored. Up to now, 5106228 yuan has been awarded to 686 cashmere goat farmers in 6 Sumu towns and one sheep breeding farm in the whole flag.

From the seed source, Etuoke Banner improves the production performance of cashmere goats through seed selection and breeding, promotes the establishment of high-quality population with the characteristics of ultra-fine, both cashmere and meat, and high reproduction of Albas cashmere goats, drives the healthy, rapid and sustainable development of the industry, and keeps the "channel" for high-quality development of world-class cashmere industry smooth.
