The First Meeting (Enlarged Meeting) Of The Presidium Of China National Committee Of The International Wool Textile Organization In 2025 Was Successfully Held In Shanghai

On the morning of March 10, 2025, the first meeting (enlarged meeting) of the Presidium of China National Committee of the International Wool Textile Organization was successfully held in Shanghai. The meeting was attended by leaders of the China Textile Industry Federation, representatives of the International Wool Textile Organization, members of the presidium and representatives of leading enterprises in the industry, to jointly discuss key projects and cooperation directions in the international wool textile field.

Yang Zhaohua, Vice President of the China Textile Industry Federation, Liu Jiaqiang, President of the China Wool Textile Industry Association, Klaus Steger, President of the International Wool Textile Organization, and Dalena White, Secretary General were present. The presidium units Zhejiang Xin'ao Textile Co., Ltd., Shunmu Holding Group and Shandong Ruyi Woolen Textile Garment Group Co., Ltd. all attended the meeting. Enterprise organizations in key industries jointly participated on behalf of Tianyu Wool Industry (Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone) Co., Ltd., Nanjing Wool Market Co., Ltd. and Zhangjiagang Yangzi Spinning Co., Ltd.

　 Deepen cooperation and enhance consensus

President Liu Jiaqiang first introduced the key work of the presidium of the National Committee of China since its establishment two years ago, as well as the new and old challenges facing the presidium under the current situation. He mentioned that the Chinese Presidium would base itself on China's wool textile industry and the actual work of the organization to promote the sustainable development and transformation of China's wool textile industry.

Klaus Steger, Chairman of the International Wool Textile Organization, affirmed the work and achievements of the Bureau in the past two years, and appreciated China's sustainable work. He reiterated the importance and urgency of the current sustainable work of the WTO, and put forward constructive suggestions for further deepening cooperation.

Multi party exchanges and common development

The presidium units Zhejiang Xin'ao Textile Co., Ltd., Shunmu Holding Group, representatives of key industry enterprises and institutions Tianyu Wool Industry (Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone) Co., Ltd., Nanjing Wool Market Co., Ltd. and Zhangjiagang Yangzi Spinning Co., Ltd. all spoke in support of the development of the current key work, emphasizing that both basic data research and the construction of the standard system mechanism should be paid equal attention to, Give full play to the importance of manufacturing industry and maintain the future development of wool textile industry.

Yang Zhaohua, Vice President of China Textile Industry Federation, summarized that the work of the presidium has built an efficient dialogue platform for the industry, and the achievements of the presidium in the past two years are encouraging. Facing the critical period of transformation and upgrading in the current industry development, how to firmly and forcefully take the sustainable development work is a challenge that the international wool textile industry and Chinese wool textile industry and enterprises face together. President Yang Zhaohua, President Liu Jiaqiang and President Klaus Steger jointly said that the international wool textile industry and China's wool textile industry should further integrate resources for the common development goal, promote the implementation of key projects, and respond to the continuous promotion of sustainable long-term development with a positive attitude and practical and powerful work.
