Secretary General Lan Aiping: Talking About The Future Development Of The Underpants Branch Of Shantou Textile And Clothing Industry Association
World Clothes Expo News: The 4th Chaoshan International Textile and Garment Expo (hereinafter referred to as "Chaoshan International Textile and Garment Expo") was grandly opened in Shantou International Convention and Exhibition Center on March 18. The exhibition is unprecedented in scale and has attracted many professionals and purchasers in the textile and clothing industry at home and abroad. Particularly remarkable, the second "China Underwear Culture Festival" made a wonderful debut in Hall 4, showing the rich diversity and innovative vitality of Chaoshan's underwear industry to industry buyers from all over the world. At the cultural festival, there were not only various new and unique underpants design displays, but also in-depth dialogues on underpants culture and fashion trends, which fully reflected the deep foundation and innovative spirit of the Chaoshan region in the field of underpants manufacturing.
During the exhibition, WFC interviewed Lan Aiping, Secretary General of the Panties Branch of Shantou Textile and Clothing Industry Association, and learned about the dynamic news of the Association. He said that as of 225 years ago, the Association had nearly 15 member units in total, including 9 executive vice presidents and president level units, 36 vice president units, and the rest are director units. The member units of the underpants branch have high quality. Since its establishment, the branch has always adhered to the principle that those who join the association must have their own factories, that is, physical production enterprises.
Therefore, our enterprises have certain quality and own production capacity. At the same time, they also have the ability to develop products. Therefore, the underpants branch will continue to grow. Since its establishment more than a year ago, the secretariat has been committed to creating value for all member enterprises.
We start from two aspects. First, last year we hosted a domestic customer docking conference, which was a great success. We accurately docked with a number of domestic chain supermarkets and online broadcast customers, and the matchmaking meeting held in Shantou Gu'ao Jinxing Garden Hotel attracted many members of the association to participate, with remarkable results.
This year, we plan to organize more similar matchmaking meetings and invite more high-quality customers to participate. Secondly, we are also actively expanding overseas markets. We plan to visit Southeast Asia in 2024, and have begun to layout our products and enterprises' overseas strategy. At present, we have started operations in Vietnam and Indonesia, and have established warehouses, content departments, BT teams and customer service departments in Vietnam to connect with local online and offline customers.
We believe that the Vietnamese market will gradually open. Market competition and so-called inner volume are realities that any industry must face. President Guo has always stressed that we should not pursue downward competition, but should pursue upward competition. Therefore, we have always encouraged enterprises to innovate in product innovation, material innovation and market strategy to cope with competition.
In addition, we have also opened up overseas market channels this year, making our market more diversified, and selling some inventory or unsalable products overseas in other ways, which is one of our strategies in the competition.
Finally, Secretary General Lan Aiping pointed out that only by constantly improving their competitiveness can member companies have more say in the market. We attach great importance to the exchange and cooperation between member units, often organize exchange activities and training, and promote mutual learning and common progress between member units. At the same time, we also pay close attention to the development needs of member units and actively provide various resources and support to help them better develop their business.
