       In the tide of scientific and technological innovation of the global industrial chain, the printing and dyeing industry is gradually transforming into a "value engine" leading the transformation of the textile industry. Focusing on this, the 23rd National Printing and Dyeing Industry New Material, New Technology, New Process and New Product Technology Exchange Meeting of New Ribe was launched in Shanghai on April 14-15.
       Taking "science and technology leading innovation and further development" as the guiding principle, this session gathered about 300 top political, industry, university and research forces, decoded cutting-edge technical codes, built a cross-border collaborative ecosystem, injected "hard core momentum" into China's printing and dyeing industry to seize the commanding heights of the global value chain, and contributed "China's plan" to the transformation of the world textile industry.
    Science and technology lead innovation
       Li Lingshen, Vice President of the China Textile Industry Federation, said in his speech that China's textile industry is moving towards a new stage of high-quality development, with the production capacity of high-performance fibers accounting for more than 1/3 of the world's total, the rate of textile machinery autonomy reaching more than 75%, and many technologies realizing import substitution.
       As a key link in the textile industry chain, the printing and dyeing industry has achieved remarkable scientific and technological innovation results during the "14th Five Year Plan" period: 60 achievements have won industry science and technology awards, three enterprises have been selected as national technology innovation demonstration enterprises, and the national advanced printing and dyeing technology innovation center and other scientific research platforms have been established. However, it should also be soberly recognized that the industry still faces such deep-seated challenges as the "choke" problem of core technology that has not yet been fully solved, the lack of collaborative innovation in the industrial chain, the high difficulty of green printing and dyeing industrialization, and the decline of enterprise innovation and research.
       Li Lingshen put forward three suggestions for development: first, adhere to innovation driven, create a technological source, and improve the safety and controllability of the industrial chain. The printing and dyeing industry should strengthen the limit thinking, focus on solving the "choke" technical problems in key areas, accelerate to make up for the technical shortcomings of the industrial chain, and ensure that key core technologies are independent and controllable. Second, deepen collaborative innovation, build a new pattern of integrated ecology and enable industrial upgrading. The printing and dyeing industry should give full play to the linkage role of the key intermediate links of the textile industry chain, strengthen the research and development cooperation and integration innovation with fiber materials, production equipment, dyes and chemicals, downstream end products and other links of the industry chain, and realize the collaborative tackling of key technologies. Third, deepen quality innovation, optimize product supply, and promote the leap of industrial value chain. The printing and dyeing industry should follow the trend of consumption upgrading and promote the quality and expansion of new types of consumption such as customization, experience, intelligence and fashion. He stressed that in the face of the new situation of the global trade environment, the industry needs to shift from price competition to value innovation, and lead the transformation and upgrading of the industry with science and technology.
    New products open up new tracks for development
       New products that meet diversified consumer needs are the key to break through technical barriers and enhance added value in the printing and dyeing industry. The conference focused on the printing and dyeing empowerment of functional, green and high-value fabrics, and promoted the industry to move towards high-end through in-depth integration of industry, university and research.
       Xu Weilin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and vice secretary of the Party Committee and president of Wuhan Textile University, pointed out in the keynote speech "Status and trends of functional fabric development" that at present, the high-quality development trend of the textile industry is mainly led by the world's scientific and technological frontier, the main economic battlefield, the country's major needs, and people's life and health. Among them, functional fabrics are irreplaceable raw materials for the national economy and national defense industry. Their flame retardant/heat insulation, anti-static, anti-bacterial and anti-virus, nuclear protection, sun protection and other functions not only greatly improve the quality of civil life, from comfort and safety of daily wear to medical health protection; It has also built a solid defense line in the field of national defense and military industry, helped equipment performance leap, and escorted national security.
       Xu Weilin stressed that the advantages of functional fabrics can be better known by the market through brand building. The exploration of fiber innovation and performance is the basis for promoting brand building; Spinning technology progress and yarn structure innovation promote brand development; Manufacturing technology innovation to help promote the brand; Dyeing technology innovation is the guarantee to strengthen brand building; Standard innovation and traction are the key forces to promote brand building. "Only when textile printing and dyeing enterprises do a good job in the innovation of fiber, spinning, manufacturing and dyeing, and then cooperate with the standard innovation, can they truly create a strong functional fabric brand and achieve industrial leap."
       Meilicheng Fashion Technology (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. Product Center Vice President Feng Feng shared the new demand for printed and dyed fabrics from the new trend of outdoor sportswear consumption. In 2025, outdoor sports fabrics will present five core trends: sustainable material penetration, intelligent interaction technology explosion, multi-functional composite performance upgrading, cultural symbols and functional aesthetics combination, and health oriented scene segmentation. On the technical level, innovations such as fluorine free waterproof coating and electrospun nanofiber membrane will solve the balance contradiction between environmental protection and performance, while mycelium leather and DyeCoo waterless dyeing technology will promote sustainable breakthroughs. In the future, outdoor fabrics will reconstruct industrial value through technology transformation from military to civilian use and cultural narrative design, shift from functional protection to dual demands of "science and technology+emotion", and lead a new consumption era with equal emphasis on fashion and performance.
       Jin Yin, Carhartt's Asian textile supply chain manager, shared "tooling fabric development and quality requirements". As a representative of the US tooling brand with a history of 130 years, Carhartt has strict standards for product development and quality control. In terms of research and development, we focus on two major directions: first, we will continue to upgrade traditional products, such as comprehensively replacing fluorinated waterproofing agents with environmentally friendly fluoride free solutions; The second is to develop innovative products with market competitiveness, focusing on meeting six core needs: lightweight design to improve work efficiency, multi-functional composite (such as waterproof and moisture permeable+anti mosquito and antibacterial), high strength durability (to withstand multiple industrial washes), fashionable appearance design, convenient care characteristics and the sustainability of the whole process. Today, even in the face of tariff challenges, we still insist on maintaining in-depth cooperation with China's existing high-quality suppliers.
       Xu Changhai, Dean of the Textile and Garment College of Qingdao University, analyzed the diversified needs of dyes for high-end sports and outdoor clothing fabrics. He pointed out that high color fastness and weather resistance, high performance and versatility, green and energy-saving dyeing process are crucial to the quality improvement, function expansion and sustainable development of high-end sports and outdoor clothing fabrics. For this reason, Qingdao University has cooperated with Penglai Jiaxin Dyestuff Chemical Co., Ltd. to develop a new type of UWA dye. This product has the application characteristics of wide pH value, good fastness to perspiration, good fastness to soaking, dyeable spandex fiber, high temperature setting resistance, etc. It can be used for one bath one step short process dyeing of polyester and cotton fabrics to reduce water, electricity and steam consumption.
       Xin Binjie, Dean of the Textile and Garment College of Shanghai University of Engineering and Technology, demonstrated his innovative achievements in the field of healthy and comfortable textile fabrics. With the upgrading of consumers' demand for "health+comfort", the college has developed functional fabrics such as antibacterial, temperature and humidity regulation, self-cleaning, etc. through material innovation, structural optimization and intelligent technology empowerment. For example, the antibacterial rate of silver ion antibacterial technology is more than 95%, the intelligent damp heat management fabric can achieve ± 2 ℃ temperature control adjustment, and the super double sparse fabric has the characteristics of waterproof, moisture permeability, washing resistance, etc. In the face of the challenge of circular economy, the college focuses on green environmental protection, functional integration and other directions, strengthens the collaborative innovation of the industrial chain, and helps the textile industry transform to high added value.
       Yu Kuanliang, AI intelligent dyeing consultant of Suzhou Xinhai Shengtian Textile Finishing Co., Ltd./Suzhou Longdexiang Textile Fabric Technology Co., Ltd., gave a keynote speech on "AI technology enables green low-carbon fabric dyeing and finishing practice". Suzhou Xinhai Shengtian Textile realized green low-carbon transformation of dyeing and finishing through AI technology. Relying on the "Shuttle Smart Textile" system, the company has built an intelligent management system covering the whole production process. Typical cases, such as AI driven process optimization, have solved the pain points of color difference and high energy consumption in traditional dyeing and finishing, such as reducing the dyeing time to 95 minutes by dynamically adjusting the temperature rise curve. In the future, the company will deepen the integration of IoT and AI, build a "dyeing and finishing brain", realize the digital control of the whole process from intelligent production scheduling, process recommendation to quality traceability, and promote the development of the industry towards energy efficiency.
       New materials define the new height of the industry
       The textile industry is moving towards greening and functionalization, and is reconstructing the logic of printing and dyeing industry. From the laboratory to the production line, these new materials are not only a leap in material science, but also a milestone in the transformation of the printing and dyeing industry to sustainable and high value-added.

The current urgent demand for green and functional textile industry makes us rethink the development direction of silicone softener.     New process leads new low-carbon paradigm
       Energy saving and low-carbon is the only way for the sustainable development of the printing and dyeing industry. The meeting focused on the goal of "double carbon", focused on key technologies such as short process technology and cleaner production, promoted the industry to be resource-saving and environment-friendly, and provided a technological path for the industry to build a low-carbon cycle system.

It is worth noting that, although the automatic control level of dyeing machine and setting machine has gradually improved in recent years, due to the lack of online measurement and control of key process parameters, it is unable to effectively control the fabric quality indicators online, and the degree of intelligence still needs to be improved. Based on the transformation of printing and dyeing factories' demand for intelligent and digital equipment, Hongda Wisdom has carried out systematic industrial innovation in recent years, launched a series of high-performance process testing equipment, and helped printing and dyeing enterprises optimize process flow, improve product quality, and achieve cost reduction and efficiency increase.
