In her eyes, beautifully embroidered insoles are her "baby".

Li Xiuyun, 68 years old, lives in the family hospital of Urumqi Meteorological Bureau and talks about her own insoles. Li Xiuyun laughs. "Every pair of insoles is embroidered by simple rural women, sending them a yearning for life and a blessing to their loved ones."

Li Xiuyun carried a big box to show her collection. Surprisingly, her collection of more than 1000 pairs of insoles did not have a pair of flowers.

"In 1979, my wife and I went back to Hunan to visit their families. There was a custom of sending hand embroidered insoles to express our wishes. I received more than 20 pairs of embroidered insoles.

Holding the insole, the more I look at it, the more I like it, and I begin collecting embroidery insoles from home.

Li Xiuyun said.

"There are oceans in the soil, there are soil in the ocean, there are articles in the United States and Chinese, and there are brocade in it. There are treasures and Honaka Yuhide in the brocade."

Li Xiuyun summed up the beauty of the insole in her eyes with this sentence.

In her collection, one pair of insoles is "collector's Edition", the insole is white, the blooming flower branches are gorgeous, simple and plain, but the insoles are not locked.

"It was in November 17, 2000. I came back to Ji'nan from the city of Urumqi, and I saw a woman with embroidered insole in her shoes. I talked to her.

Perhaps I was moved by the persistence of embroidered insoles. At last, she felt a pair of unfinished embroidered insoles from the bag and gave them to me.

Li Xiuyun said, it was the woman's mother-in-law embroidered on the bed, this is a gift for her, but the old man died without locking it.

Speaking of these stories related to insoles, Li Xiuyun said, "I appreciate the beauty of the embroidering work on the insole, even more touching the story behind the insole."
