In Liu Guangjian's daily life, Lei Feng's shadow is almost inseparable from him.

Liu Guangjian, a 53 year old "national Lei Feng learning pacesetter", has been insisting on his belief that she has been helping the poor and handicapped by shoeshine all over the country. In 2013, when Mao Zedong inscribed 50th anniversary for Lei Feng, he received 1000 apprentices from disabled persons and taught them to polish their shoes, so as to publicize Lei Feng spirit.

At the side of Liu Guangjian, his modified "Lei Feng car" was particularly noticeable, loaded with a motor tricycle, with a newspaper on one side of the Liu Guangjian trip, a Lei Feng portrait and a few big words "serving the people" on the other, attracting a lot of people to look around.

Liu Guangjian's "Lei Feng car" is very simple, and a half meter wide wooden plank in the compartment is the bed where he sleeps every night.

"When I started the long march propaganda in 1999, Lei Feng spent 15000 yuan on buying a used mini van, but that car was scrapped in Zhejiang last year, and now it can only ride three rounds."

The present tricycle is Liu Guangjian's third car.

Compared with the hard conditions now, Liu Guangjian threw himself into the job of "professional Lei Feng" in 1998 when he resigned voluntarily from the post of civil servant in the agriculture and Animal Husbandry Department of Tibet autonomous region.

According to Liu Guangjian, he was born in Pengzhou, Sichuan. He joined the army in 1971 and served in a certain department of the Shenyang military region. Because of its outstanding performance, Liu Guangjian was awarded the title of "the ten army Lei Feng model of the whole army" by the General Political Department of the PLA during his second years in the army.

During his speech, Liu Guangjian found out the authenticity of his statement from his bag.

Liu Guangjian said that in order to continue his "Lei Feng career", he resigned in 1998 and formally embarked on the "Long March" to help the poor and disabled in 1999.

"I have been walking for 9 years, 4 months now, and 98 cities have passed."

At about 5 o'clock the day before yesterday, Liu Guangjian arrived in ninety-ninth cities on the long march of the country.

"I only went home 7 times in 9 years."

In Liu Guangjian's notebook, he left more than 700 signatures that he had passed through the city to interview his media reporters. Reporters saw that almost every journalist in Shandong, Henan, Hebei, Sichuan, Hubei, Guangdong and other places had left a contact.

In the interview, Liu Guangjian revealed all his plans: in 15 years, he finished the major cities in China. By 2013, when Mao Zedong wrote 50th anniversary for Comrade Lei Feng, he formed 100 "Lei Feng shoe polishing classes" and collected 1000 disabled persons as disciples. In 2013 March 5th, he gathered 1000 disciples of the whole country to hold a free shoeshine activity in Tiananmen square, in honor of learning 50th anniversary from Lei Feng.

"At present, I have set up 59 Lei Feng shoeshine classes and 404 disciples."

Liu Guangjian was very calm about this: "over the years, I've heard enough about this. I have no time to argue with them. I believe my actions will prove it for me."

According to Liu Guangjian's plan, he will stay in Zhongshan for about 10 days. He will continue to collect his apprentice and hold some activities to publicize Lei Feng's spirit. His next stop is Zhuhai.

Reporter: why do you think you can publicize Lei Feng's spirit by shoeshine?

Liu Guangjian: I saw a news in 1998. I was inspired by a secretary of a provincial Party committee in Shanxi province who went to the streets to clean shoes in order to lead the laid-off workers to re employment.

Reporter: shoeshine is not a very difficult skill. Is it necessary to specializes in teaching skills?

Liu Guangjian: don't underestimate the shoeshine, there are many skills, how to save oil and energy, how to stall and how to polish are skillful.

I have rich experience in shoeshine, and I can teach these experiences to my apprentice. These experiences can at least allow the novice to pay less than 500 yuan.

Reporter: do you want to come out and publicize Lei Feng? Does your family agree?

Liu Guangjian: my wife didn't agree at the very beginning, but then I kept insisting that she would acquiesce, and now my daughter also graduated from university and went to work, and the burden on her family was small.

Interviewer: can you tell me your wife's way of contact and find out what she is thinking now?

Liu Guangjian: sorry, because the number of reporters who telephones her before is too many, she has not allowed me to divulge her phone.

Reporter: you resigned from the civil service to publicize Lei Feng. Did you calculate personal gain or loss?

Liu Guangjian: when I quit my job, I could earn about 2000 yuan a month. I got in touch with my old classmates some time ago. Their income is almost 4800 yuan a month.

I really lost a lot of money, but the wealth I got from my mind could not be calculated. I didn't regret my choice.

Reporter: do you think it is meaningful to publicize Lei Feng in such a way?

Liu Guangjian: I can tell you an example. When I was in Ji'nan, Shandong and Hangzhou, Zhejiang, I was interviewed by local TV reporters. I said, after Lao Liu came to our city, everyone spoke more kindly, and the city changed.

I dare say that 20 days after my arrival in Guangdong, the appearance of these cities in Guangdong will definitely change under my guidance.
