Three Foreigners Arrested For Hiding Leather Shoes And Collecting Drugs

Shekou frontier inspection station announced yesterday that 3 foreign tourists would hide their leather shoes and hide drugs, attempting to enter Shenzhen from Hongkong, but they were intercepted by police on Shekou, and 3 kilograms of cannabis resin were found from 3 people's shoes.

The case was the first drug smuggling case seized since the construction of Shekou frontier inspection station.

At 5 p.m. on April 17th, a cross border passenger ship from Hongkong airport to Shenzhen arrived at Shekou port. A scruffy, foreign traveller holding only one simple luggage caused suspicion of the police. Meanwhile, another two suspicious persons were found in the hall, and 3 people were stopped for examination.

In the review, it was found that although the 3 passengers claimed to have no acquaintance with each other, they had the same round-trip air tickets and the number of tickets was identical, and the visa issuance was the same.

They wore the same style of thick black shoes, which also aroused the vigilance of the policemen.

The police officers stripped 3 pairs of leather upper and sole, and found 2 pieces of black paste suspected in the sole of each shoe. They were identified as cannabis and weighed about 3 kilograms.

After 3 foreign personnel confessed, leather shoes and air tickets were provided by another foreigner. They did not know what the shoes were hiding.

At present, the Shekou frontier inspection station has pferred the case to the relevant departments for further examination.
