Fur Company Smuggled Water Mink Fox Fur 300 Million Penalty 60 Million

Yesterday, after a retrial of a "smuggling of mink and fox Pete", the Guangzhou intermediate people's court made a retrial decision.

Deng Chengqiang, the principal criminal, was sentenced to 14 years' imprisonment for smuggling ordinary goods. The remaining 4 defendants were sentenced to 2 to 6 years' imprisonment, and three units were also fined ranging from 60 million yuan to 2 million 500 thousand yuan.

Previously, the case was disagreed with the fact finding. After the first instance judgment was made by the Guangzhou intermediate people's court, it was sent back to the Guangzhou intermediate people's court for retrial by the Guangdong Provincial Higher People's court.

In June 2004, Whampoa customs anti smuggling Bureau intelligence officers received a clue from Dongguan fur factory and a fur product company of Guangzhou to smuggle the bonded materials with suspicion of major smuggling.

After more than two months of investigation, a smuggling criminal group headed by Deng brothers emerged.

As a matter of fact, between 2003 and 2004, a fur product Co., Ltd. in Guangzhou used its materials processing manuals to smuggle marten skins and Fox Skins into domestic customers of a factory in Boluo, Huizhou.

Three enterprises smuggled about 800000 mink skins and 40 thousand nearly 40 thousand Fox Skins. The value of the case was 327 million yuan and the tax evasion was 86 million 810 thousand yuan.

After the trial of the Guangzhou intermediate people's court, the case was retested.

A fur product Co., Ltd. of Guangzhou was fined up to 60 million yuan. A fur factory in Dongguan was fined 2 million 500 thousand yuan, while a factory in Boluo, Huizhou was fined 7 million 520 thousand yuan.
