Linyi Entry Exit Inspection And Quarantine Bureau Strictly Controls European Garment Quality
In order to further improve the quality of import and export garment enterprises, Shandong Linyi entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau has increased the intensity of spot checks for clothing safety and health projects exported to the EU.
Recently, the Linyi entry-exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau carried out a sampling inspection of 8190 items of women's trousers exported to France, including formaldehyde content, banned azo dyes, fiber content and other safety items. The test results showed that the fiber components of the women's trousers were polyester 72.3%, viscose 19.7% and spandex 8%, which were inconsistent with the label of pet pants, polyester 80%, viscose 16% and elastic fiber 4%. The polyester, viscose and elastic fiber contents exceeded the tolerance of 3% of EU 96/74/EC directive. The inspectors immediately judged that the export garments were not qualified, and made the rearrangement and disposal opinions. They immediately informed the export enterprises to take urgent measures to avoid the export of labels and products which were not consistent with the products, and achieved obvious results. A few days ago, the company immediately dismantled all the labels. The label was reprinted according to the label contents of polyester 72%, viscose 20% and elastic fiber 8%. After the re examination was qualified, the women's trousers were issued successfully.
The Council reminded export garment enterprises to strictly evaluate and select fabric suppliers when purchasing, and to effectively detect fabrics before putting into operation, so as to avoid such situations from happening again. (Liu Qingchen)
