Domain Name Malicious Registration Investment Risk
Many Chinese domain names have been pferred arbitrated.
The reporter learned from the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission's domain name dispute resolution center and the Hongkong International Arbitration Center Asia domain dispute resolution center that 23 Chinese domain name arbitration cases were recently accepted, of which 19 were all sentenced to "pfer domain names", that is, domain name investors suspected of malicious intent to register first Chinese domain names were pferred to the complainant (obligee), and the right person's arbitration rate was 82%.
Dr. Tan Hualin, a law school at Beihang University, points out that this blind registration investor who aims at obtaining illegitimate interests is a wake-up call.
It is understood that the above 19 cases were pferred, including "ocean real estate", "Mei Da shares", "Biguiyuan group", "South Asia plastic" and other Chinese domain names. It can be seen that these domain names are well-known companies or brand names, and their registrants are not related enterprises themselves, and some domain names have even been posted online auction.
Dr. Tan Hualin told reporters that according to the relevant domain name dispute resolution, "the purpose of registering or assigning the domain name is to sell, rent or otherwise pfer the domain name to the owner of the civil rights and interests or its competitors to obtain illegitimate interests" to constitute malicious registration or use the domain name.
Once such a behavior is brought up by a civil right, the relevant domain name will be pferred.
Not long ago, for the irrational investment domain name behavior that occurred frequently in the domain name industry, the CNNIC, the national domain name registration authority, issued a circular on "establishing the correct domain name values to prevent irrational investment risks" (hereinafter referred to as the notice).
The notice emphasizes: "the basic value of the domain name is to use", "domain name investment is not the essential attribute of the domain name, but derives from the use value of the domain name, and its appreciation space is closely related to the use of the domain name."
In addition, for the vast number of Internet users, especially some domain name investors, the notice also sent a good intention to remind that "any investment is risky. Caution should be taken in investing in domain name. Blind investment in domain names is not desirable".
It is reported that the Chinese CN domain name is technically compatible with a number of Internet international standards. It has been directly supported by the mainstream browsers such as IE7.0, F ire fox2.0, O p e ra and so on. When domain names are truly owned by their own enterprises and applied to the network brand building, marketing and marketing of the enterprises, they can really generate high added value.
In addition, Zhai Wenjun also reminded many enterprises that because Chinese CN domain name is unique, there is the possibility of being registered by others or competitors, resulting in the enterprise's network resources and brand marginalization. Therefore, enterprises should enhance the awareness of domain name brand and strengthen their own resources protection.
