Male respondents said they were most likely to buy electronic products.
The survey also shows that young tourists (18~24 years old) are very interested in Chinese traditional and modern souvenirs.
They will not only buy antiques, but also buy electronic products.
For a single market, 63% of Australian tourists, 60% of New Zealand tourists and 52% of Singaporean tourists will give priority to clothing; 36% of Japanese tourists and 49% of Korean tourists most want to buy Chinese tea; 63% of Malaysia tourists want to buy Chinese silk; 60% of India tourists are the first choice of electronic products.
Visitors to China said they were more likely to buy local food and Olympic souvenirs.
For the first time, visitors to China are more likely to buy clothing, antiques and electronic products than those who have come to China.
Among those who did not come to China, 50% of tourists hoped that Chinese merchants could generally use credit card spending.
This is exactly what Visa most likes to see.
