Tanzania Seeks Investors Who Can Restore Local Textile Industry

Tanzania cotton Bureau and Tanzania investment center began to look for investors who can restore and promote the national textile and garment industry. Ibrahim Seushi, consultant of Tanzania cotton and textile development plan, said at the signing ceremony of the Mou between Tanzania vocational Gatsby and Tanzania Gatsby Trust in Dar Es Salaam.

Ibrahim Seushi said: "we are developing and promoting the textile industry through the joint venture of investors in this department to achieve more clothing production. Tanzania's fashion industry hardly exists."

Mr. Donald Sayi, coordinator of the cotton and textile coordination programme, explained that the signing of the memorandum of understanding was aimed at providing training courses for 20 design and textile manufacturing technicians at the University of Mauritius.
