    In from August 26 to 28, 2008, China International Knitting Fair (ChinaKnitting) will be held at the Shanghai International New Expo Center in conjunction with the world's second major textile exhibition, China International Home Textiles and Accessories Expo (Intertextile Hometextile).

    At the same time, the two major textile end products will be unveiled together to create an international platform for fashion and commerce.



    In 2005, the total output value of China's knitting industry has exceeded 10% of the total output value of the textile industry. During the fifteen period, the average annual growth rate of the knitting industry was 22%, ranking the highest in the whole textile industry. In 2006, the export amount of knitted garments in China exceeded that of woven fabrics, achieving the first time since the founding of the people's Republic of China. At present, knitted apparel accounts for 52% of the total garment production, and still has considerable room for growth from 65% of the developed countries.

    Nevertheless, there is still a long way to go for brand building of knitting enterprises in China. Marketing channels and product design are worth learning from international counterparts.


    2007 Review



    Sponsored by the China Textile Industry Association, the 2007 China International Knitting fair jointly hosted by the China knitwear industry association and the China Textile Council of the International Trade Promotion Commission was successfully held in Shanghai New International Expo Center on 29-31 August 2007.

    This exhibition is a collection of famous Chinese brands including three guns, red beans, AB, bronze bull, Bosteng, Jinba, Gage, Haitian, Feng Zhu, seven color rainbow, Yi cotton, Jinchen, Meng Na, and Fen Li. The products cover underwear, bra, sports and leisure, T-Shirts, body sculpting, socks, knitted surface accessories and other fields. T-shirts, knitted underwear, knitted fabrics, socks "China famous brand" and "China's knitting industry's most competitive enterprises" are all unveiled, representing the highest level of China's knitting industry.

    In order to guide enterprises to move towards the goal of functional knitwear, and promote the development of related industries to high-end market, the "health function textiles Standardization Forum" and "the first health care functional fiber materials seminar" were held during the exhibition. The industry leaders, experts and elites, gathered new technologies and new thinking, and provided professional level development ideas for relevant industries from the perspective of industry.



    China International Knitwear fair aims to help enterprises create a wide range of customers and marketing channels by developing the international and domestic markets. Through the fashion concept and the trend of fashion, it releases the brand new platform to enter the market.



    To this end, the organizers will use the industry background and their strong resources to promote the exhibition from the following aspects:


      


    1. We will invite buyers, distributors and affiliate agents in shopping malls, chain supermarkets and professional markets to visit.


      


    2, we have used many years to host the professional exhibitions and orientate invitations to the channels established by important businesses in East China and the whole country.


      


    3, with the huge data resources accumulated by the organizers for many years, a number of overseas and domestic professional spectators will be invited before the exhibition, and will interact with the hometowns in the same period. The free shuttle bus between the two exhibitions will provide the greatest convenience for the professional visitors.


      


    4, through cooperation with the domestic and foreign media organizations in the textile industry, knitting profession and mass consumption, we will create a strong exhibition image and promote the brand awareness of the knitting exhibition.
