Exhibition Brief

MOTEXHA is one of the most influential and authoritative professional exhibitions in the Middle East and Asia. Since its first session in 1978, it has nearly 30 years of history. In the past six years, MOTEXHA has contributed to over 1 billion US dollars in commercial turnover. It has been recognized as the best way for enterprises to enter the Middle East Textile and footwear market. The exhibition will be held at the most prestigious UAE International Exhibition Centre in UAE.

Exhibition review

In 2007, the Middle East (Dubai) International Garment, textile, footwear and leather products fair was successfully held at the UAE International Exhibition Center.

Enterprises around the world display products and win orders through this exhibition.

The exhibition lasted for three days. A total of 226 enterprises (more than 100 brands) from more than 25 countries came to the exhibition. Most of the enterprises came from China (57, 27%), Indonesia (16, 7.6%) and Turkey (34, 16%), with small and medium enterprises as the main participants.

The number of exhibitors in 2007 was 35% higher than that in 2006.

A number of enterprises repeated their participation according to their own conditions, indicating the affirmation of the exhibition.

From the point of view of exhibitors, the 3 most popular products are textile manufacturing and trade (31), casual wear (37) and men's casual wear (28), which basically meet buyers' needs.

As buyers and exhibitors reached a better docking at the exhibition site, both sides said they would consider exhibiting again next year.

In 2007, the Minister of information in Dubai participated in the opening ceremony of the exhibition, and fully affirmed the positive role played by the exhibition in the trade of the Gulf area.

According to statistics from Dubai information department, Motexha has continued to contribute more than 12 billion dollars to the textile industry in the Gulf region.

In addition, Motexha's drive to the leather market in the Gulf region (including leather shoes) is particularly prominent. By 2007, it had created $1 billion for imports and exports in overseas areas, and created a trade volume of 300 million US dollars in the UAE alone.

European countries also played a positive role in 2007 because of the strong influence of the Middle East (Dubai) international clothing, textile, footwear and leather products fair.

More than 60 European companies from Britain, Turkey, Italy, Poland and Hungary participated in the exhibition and received good results.

The enthusiasm of Pakistan enterprises in 2007 is particularly high, which is 200% higher than in previous years.
