Cotton Yarn Preferential Policy In Xinjiang Autonomous Region

According to the Xinjiang development and Reform Commission, Xinjiang achieved 159 billion 85 million yuan in the first half of 2008, an increase of 11% over the same period last year.

The total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery in the region was 28 billion 476 million yuan, an increase of 5.4%; the added value of industrial added value above designated size was 85 billion 423 million yuan, an increase of 14.2%, an increase of 2.5 percentage points over the same period last year.

The regional economic growth is stable, the scale of the economy continues to expand, the industrial economic benefits are better, the growth of fixed assets investment is relatively fast, the price level is relatively high, the consumption demand of the society is strong, and the import and export trade is growing rapidly.

But there are also problems of uneven economic development, the main driving force of economic growth, low level of new industrialization and high price operation.

To promote regional economic development, the Xinjiang development and Reform Commission put forward some countermeasures and suggestions, including making use of the advantages of cotton and the processing advantages of agricultural and sideline products, suggesting that railway and pportation subsidies should be given to the cotton yarn and semi finished products, so as to encourage and guide the development of the textile industry in the whole region and enhance the share of light industry.
