India Will Become The Second Largest PTA Importer In Asia.

It is reported that since the beginning of this year, India has maintained a large number of spot PTA imports. It is estimated that the import volume will continue to increase in the next few years and will become the second largest spot market in Asia.

Before this year, India's PTA spot imports were few.

Usually there is only one to two cargo per few months (2000 tons per batch).

China is Asia and also the largest PTA spot market in the world. The second big markets are hard to ascertain because Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan and India are importing PTA from time to time.

Officials of MITSUBISHI chemical India company said, however, in the past 6 months, PTA goods imported into India have been increasing gradually to 5000-6000 tons / month.

People who believe in industrial companies believe that the actual import volume is higher than this figure, with a monthly import volume of up to 20 thousand tons.

In the past few years, the polyester industry in India has been developing steadily. Most of the PTA needed comes from local industries, such as trust industry company, MITSUBISHI and India petroleum company.

Mitsubishi Co officials said that this means that from now until 2010, India will still have a large net gap of PTA, and the gap may reach 20-33.7 million tons / year.
