When asked about the design concept, Wang Li said that the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the Chinese sports delegation's award dress is a window for the world to show China's image. It should reflect the mental outlook of the Chinese athletes and strive to win the first place in the Olympic Games.

Therefore, the design of the award dress should not only embody the spirit and appearance of Chinese athletes, but also have Chinese characteristics and strong sense of the times.

"This requires the use of colors and patterns to show a sense of entirety and fashion, to convey vitality, enthusiasm and positive mental outlook."

The color of the award dress comes from the red and yellow colors of the national flag. It is natural to associate the color of the Chinese flag with that of China.

Wang Li said: "at the same time, we also take into account the color environment of the whole arena. When designing, the whole shoulder color and the general color of trousers are used in white, making the overall clothing's color effect bright, active, full of rhythmic movement and" jumping out "in large space.

The main color of clothing is the gradual change from red to yellow and then to white. The gradual change of color from top to bottom, from bottom to top, from left to right, from right to left, as well as the subtle gradation of pattern tone from warm yellow to cold yellow, forms a sense of rhythm and fluidity, showing small changes in the great unity of color.

And on the design, Wang Li used the traditional Chinese element - Xiangyun pattern, reflecting a rhythmic and tension visual effect.

"From the layout of the pattern in the costume, I used the asymmetric design method, mainly highlighting the upper part of the front, back and right shoulders, reflecting the rising of Xiangyun and the symbol of beautiful meaning.

Moreover, this design allows the whole award dress to appear dynamic and more fashionable in a unified fashion.

It is hard to see the hardships of today's sample clothing, which is just right, with momentum and tension.

Wang Li said: "we know that the core cloud pattern is used in the plane VI system, so how to cut it is very beautiful. When it is applied to the three-dimensional clothing, it will have some difficulties, and it will be difficult to fit with the cutting structure of the garment, so we need to debug the position repeatedly."

In addition, the use of logo is also specified in the award dress: the Chinese seal LOGO, the Olympic flag of the Chinese Olympic Committee, the LOGO of the fifth ring, and the letter of the sponsor ADIDAS, the English CHINA.

It is a challenge for designers to combine all kinds of design elements well under existing restrictions.

Wang Li said that in the design of the award style version, it is also more difficult.

Because there are some differences between the shape of athletes and the characteristics of normal people, such as weightlifting, judo athletes' shoulder and back size, basketball, volleyball players' height and size, gymnasts' body data characteristics are very different. They are quite different from the sizes of ordinary products. The last to Adidas producers is 18 sizes for men's wear, 16 sizes for women's wear, and 4 sizes for gymnasts.

The multi size distribution allows every athlete to wear a very fitting award dress equipment, which is the largest number of Chinese Olympic costume awards.

Besides, digital printing of clothing is also a big technical problem.
