Us Proposes Vietnam To Improve Textile Export Quality

An American trade official suggested that Vietnam's textile and clothing manufacturers once again improve the quality of their products and promote exports to the US market. The trade official predicted that the US market will be stable again in the next 6 months.

Li Fantao, vice president of Vietnam textile and clothing association, said Vietnamese textile and garment export units should attach great importance to export orders to the United States.

There will be many opportunities and challenges in the US market, because the United States is going through the pition period between Bush and Obama.

In November this year, the US Department of Commerce disclosed a statement that Vietnam's textile and clothing export units did not sell their products to the United States, so there was no reason to initiate anti-dumping proceedings against Vietnamese textiles and clothing.

While appreciating the statement of the US Department of Commerce, the Vietnamese textile and clothing association hopes that the new US government will respect the promise of the former government, not to extend its surveillance plans for clothing and textiles imported from Vietnam, or to impose additional trade barriers.
