Environmental Standards Gradually Attract The Attention Of Fujian Enterprises

There will be no quota restrictions on textile exports to the us from January 1st next year. The export of European textiles has just lifted quota restrictions this year, which means that the era of textile quotas will end. However, the "green trade barrier" characterized by product quality ecological standards and safety certification has quietly increased.

The certification of international environmental standards for textile exports has attracted more and more attention from Fujian enterprises. Hundreds of Fujian enterprises participated in the free thematic training courses held recently by the Fujian provincial foreign trade and Economic Cooperation Department.

The head of the trade and Management Department of the Ministry of foreign trade and economic cooperation said that avoiding repeated tests could apply for internationally accepted Oeko-Tex certification. Under the impetus of the government, the current Fujian enterprises have got more than 80 "Oeko-Tex Standard 100 environmental protection textile standards certification", and only a dozen other years ago.

However, compared to more than 20 thousand textile enterprises in the province, the proportion of certification is still less than 5/10000.
