China Mobile Storage Standard Will Come Out Soon

At the end of August, Chen Qingfang, head of China Mobile storage standard working group, said in Shanghai that the China Mobile storage industry was getting rid of the constraint of paying high patent fees to foreign companies.

Chen Qingfang disclosed the news to the media at the press conference of "Putian Maud strategic alliance".

He said that the current storage market capacity is expanding, but due to the lack of relevant standards, and constrained by some foreign patents, the development of domestic storage market is not satisfactory.

Constrained by these de facto standards, many domestic enterprises need to pay high royalties, resulting in little profit in this field.

According to the press, the storage market is mainly based on a variety of factual standards, including the SD standard based on Panasonic, Toshiba and the US SanDisk technology, the MMC multimedia card standards such as Samsung and NOKIA technologies, the CF standard promoted by SAN-DISK and the Sony Corp's closed memory stick.

Chinese enterprises are currently under 6% of the royalties, which makes Chinese manufacturers basically unable to make profits in this field.

Chen Qing direction reporter revealed that China is accelerating the pace of its own mobile storage standards.

Currently, the mobile storage standard working group is developing 5 mobile storage standards for flash storage, memory cards, MP3, MP4 and micro hard disk.

The fast development is the quality standard of flash disk. Now it has been approved by the Ministry of information industry, and is expected to be released in the year. The slow progress is the standard of micro hard disk, which is just in the starting stage. The MP3 and MP4 standards will also be fixed by the end of this year, and the standard of memory card will be released before the first quarter of next year.

As a pioneer of China's own mobile storage standard, Putian Maude announced at the conference that it has allied with the world-famous flash controller enterprises, and improved the layout of upstream core components.

General manager of Putian Maud said in an interview with reporters that China's IPO standard, flash memory card, MP3 and MP4 standards will be released soon, so that all mobile memory manufacturers including Pu Tian Maude will be supported by strong manufacturing.
