AQSIQ recently organized a national supervision and spot check on the quality of leather shoes.

A total of 90 products produced by 90 enterprises in 8 provinces and municipalities in Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Sichuan, Shandong, Chongqing, Jiangsu, Shanghai and other provinces (including no export products) were surveyed, and the qualified rate of physical samples was 98.2%.

Among them, 7 kinds of national inspection free products and 2 kinds of Chinese famous brand products were selected. The qualified rate of physical samples was 100%.

According to the requirements of QB/T1002-2005's "leather shoes" standard, the spot checks were conducted on 10 items, including the sensory quality, peel strength, the strength of the shoe, the folding resistance of the shoe, the wearability of the sole, the heel binding force, the hardness of the bottom heel, the hardness of the sole, the bending rigidity and the marking of the hook.

The results of spot checks show that the state supervision and spot check has promoted the improvement of the quality consciousness of enterprises and strengthened the quality management. The product's hook bending stiffness, wear resistance at the bottom, the heel binding force, the strength of the upper shoe and the hardness of the sole shoe heel meet the single coincidence rate of 100%.

In addition, the large scale production enterprises with higher market share have better product quality, and all the inspection items meet the requirements of the national standard.

Although the overall quality level is relatively high, it is still found in some spot checks that the flexural strength and peel strength of individual products are not up to standard. It is easy to produce deformation and fracture during the wearing process, which will affect the service life of the products.

It is understood that the folding resistance is the index to assess whether the shoe sole and the side of the shoe are easy to break or crack, which directly reflects the flexural flexibility of the outer sole of the leather shoes, and is the comprehensive quality index of the wearing life of leather shoes.

QB/T1002-2005 "leather shoes" standard stipulates that the folding resistance of leather shoes should be less than 30mm, and the new cracks should be less than 5.0mm after folding, and should not exceed 3.

In the spot checks, there are individual products with fracture resistance length of 72.6mm, exceeding the requirements stipulated in the standard limit value.

In addition, peel strength is an important index for evaluating the adhesive strength of leather shoes and the sole. The products with low bonding strength may produce glue during the wearing and storing process, thus affecting the appearance and quality of the shoes.

QB/T1002-2005 "leather shoes" stipulates that the peel strength of leather shoes is not less than 40N/cm.

In the spot checks, the peel strength of individual products is 24N/cm, which does not meet the requirements of the standard minimum value.

Experts remind consumers that material quality is a key factor affecting the quality of leather shoes.

The main types of leather materials are cowhide, pig skin, sheepskin and other natural leather. The hardness, wear resistance and luster of different materials are different.
