Zhangjiagang'S Exports Of Cotton Yarn Decreased Significantly, Down 14.1% Compared With The Same Period Last Year.

According to statistics from Zhangjiagang entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau, 1-7 months, Zhangjiagang exported 2552.8 tons of cotton yarn, down 14.1% from the same period last year.

This year, the textile industry has been affected by the economic slowdown of the western developed countries, the continued appreciation of the RMB, the rising cost of labor, and the shortage of liquidity.

The export of cotton yarn in Zhangjiagang has been significantly reduced, and textile enterprises in Zhangjiagang have also indicated that their economic efficiency has declined and even suffered losses.

At the end of July, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation announced that the export rebate rate of textiles and clothing had been raised by two percentage points since August 1, 2008, which is undoubtedly a timely relief for textile enterprises, and the export volume of cotton yarn in Zhangjiagang will also increase significantly.
