In 2008, exports of leather, fur and products increased by US $42 billion 530 million, an increase of 10.4% over the same period last year, and the growth rate slowed down by 0.1 percentage points. Imports of US $5 billion 450 million, down 0.3% from the same period last year, down 10.5 percentage points over the same period last year.

The surplus of imports and exports is 37 billion 80 million US dollars, accounting for 12.5% of China's total trade surplus.
