Frankfurt Home Textile Exhibition Brings Market Warmer Signal
Looking back to the 2009 Frankfurt home textile exhibition, the industry believes that the exhibition will bring new impetus to the development of the industry and point out the direction of development. The exhibition has welcomed 2721 exhibitors from 64 countries. They said that under the background of the current world economic situation is not optimistic, the effect of this exhibition is more than expected.
91%的觀眾對展會滿意
This exhibition shows the latest products of the global home textile industry and forecasts the future market structure.
Detlf Braun, director of Frankfurt Exhibition Limited, said: "under the current market environment, the exhibition has successfully pointed out a winning way for the vast number of exhibitors and spectators, namely the new design power and the new business model based on the concept of sustainable development and modern sales.
The number of visitors to this visit is far beyond the expectations of the exhibitors.
The good commercial atmosphere presented during the exhibition also enhanced the confidence of exhibitors in the future market competition.
Hans Joanchim Schilgen, general manager of the German Home Textile Association, said: "after this economic crisis, the industry is also looking for new development momentum. From the feedback of members, they get a lot of business negotiation opportunities and get a lot of orders in this exhibition, which let us rebuild confidence and let us see that the market is getting warmer."
However, the positive signals brought by the exhibition to the industry can not hide the fact that the market is shrinking.
At present, the total number of German home textile enterprises is 195, with 20100 employees, with a total reduction of 5%.
Overseas markets are also not optimistic. Businesses are playing games with the weak market environment to survive.
Take France as an example. At the beginning of this year, the government increased aid for the reduction of labor hours caused by the economic downturn and focused on the home textile industry.
Peter Pfneisl, the new president of EURATEX, said that the European home textile market strives to survive in this financial crisis with high-end design routes, advanced technology and high quality products.
However, the market situation is not satisfactory. From the second quarter of 2008, the order of European export oriented home textile enterprises has been reduced, and the total market has decreased by 7% throughout the year.
The organizers' survey of exhibitors and spectators showed that the number of exhibitors and spectators who were pessimistic about the economic outlook compared to last year doubled the number of exhibitors and spectators, accounting for 50% of the overseas exhibitors and spectators who voted.
In Germany, only 25% of businessmen hold this view.
Against this background, the number of visitors to the exhibition is slightly lower than that of last year.
Statistics show that there are about 74000 spectators from 121 countries and regions.
Surprisingly, the number of spectators from Germany is much higher than expected, reaching 27000, with 440 exhibitors, ranking the top of the list.
According to statistics, the degree of internationalization of the exhibition is 63%, a slight decrease of 1% compared with the previous session.
In the financial crisis, the largest number of Americans and other economies linked to the US dollar, such as India and South Korea, declined significantly. The number of spectators from Italy, Portugal, Spain and Sweden also decreased, and the exports of these countries experienced a sharp contraction in 2008.
In addition, the audience from far away was not only reduced in size but also shortened from 2.4 days last year to 2 days.
Apart from Germany, the ten largest buyers of this exhibition are Italy, Britain, Holland, Spain, France, Belgium, Turkey, Poland, Greece and the United States.
The number of visitors from African countries such as Egypt and Algeria has increased slightly.
Detlef Braun, director of Frankfurt Exhibition Limited, said that the exhibition had basically achieved the desired results. He said: "taking into account the current economic situation, this year's exhibition will not set a new record.
However, we are delighted with the successful exhibitors.
This exhibition not only reflects the purpose of our exhibition, but also shows its leading position in the global home textile industry.
Despite the downturn in the market, many exhibitors and spectators still think the exhibition is worth the money.
Wallpaper, wall fabrics, sheets and pillowcases and bedding have become the focus of this exhibition.
Aaian Vision quality exhibition exhibitors are also satisfied with the results of the exhibition. They believe that the number and quality of the audience are better, especially the majority of the audience are decision-makers.
In addition to business, handicraft industry, interior decoration and designers, and professional spectators of the home textile industry, the exhibition also welcomed many interior decorators from buildings, hotels and medical fields.
91% of the audience at home and abroad expressed satisfaction with the exhibition's products and themes.
Sustainable development as a new direction
A survey of exhibitor and 2009 exhibitor in 2008 showed that the factors that promoted sales in 2009 included decoration trend, consumption cycle acceleration and sustainability.
To this end, the exhibition has opened two international forums and lecture areas to discuss topics such as the relationship between creativity and interior textiles, and the potential demand of consumers and architects for the market and industry.
The audience showed strong interest in the values and methodology of sustainable economic behavior.
"Eco Luxury, Green Business and Innovation", the guest speaker of the forum, Niels Hother Madsen, administrative procurement regional manager of Danisches Bettenlager company, said: "enterprises are constantly adjusting and positioning in the process of development. It is critical to ensure that the quality of products is guaranteed, or the pparency of production and circulation processes represents a key step for enterprises.
At the same time, as the world's largest home textile exhibition, Frankfurt home textile exhibition is committed to in-depth discussion of these key topics, which is very admired, because these topics are important for further development of the industry.
In addition, many industry experts were invited to give keynote speeches at the "Design meets Sustainability" forum, including the "Michael from the cradle to cradle" in green economy.
In addition, Reihard Back-hausen showed the world's first indoor decorative fabrics developed on the basis of Trevira CS fabric based on the "green economy" from cradle to cradle.
In the field of home textiles, products corresponding to this principle have been shown accordingly. Fransohn Ftottier from Australia shows you the world's first "low-energy towel", which reduces chemical consumption by 30% and does not require softeners.
About 350 exhibitors from home textiles and indoor textiles participated in the exhibition market activity "Contract Creations".
The household textile materials exhibited in the event greatly meet the needs of designers and planners from the building and interior decoration industry.
Interior decoration and color designer Janine Tsias, from Wiesbaden Faust Consult, said: "my job is to make interior decorations for some large hospitals in the Middle East. They are more willing to invest in interior decoration than the Germans.
At the exhibition, I can find the decorative materials needed.
In addition, the "Contract Guide and the AIT" tour specially organized by the architects has helped us a lot.
In addition, the trend display is still the highlight of this exhibition, especially the "six Expect the Unexpected" trend forecast and display to bring the audience a new quarter of design inspiration and inspiration.
At the same time, it has been widely praised for its inspiring Trend Forum and Trend Book in the form of living material magazines.
