Since its establishment, the association has always insisted on providing full service for the growers before, during and after the production, actively carrying out technical services and training, organizing the acquisition, processing and sales of enterprises, and effectively promoting the healthy and rapid development of the colored cotton industry. In 2006, there were 2074 members and 16436 mu of colored cotton planted.

By increasing publicity, comparison of accounts, typical household demonstration, and signing of planting contracts, the enthusiasm of farmers was fully mobilized. In 2006, the association signed 2074 planting contracts with farmers, and implemented 16436 mu of colored cotton planting.

In accordance with the principle of "one household, one product, one product", the association organized technical personnel to compile the "color cotton high yield and high quality cultivation technology manual", and distributed it to every colored cotton grower free of charge. On the one hand, we should step up publicity efforts to attract businessmen. The association has made full use of Dunhuang's tourism resources and hospitality advantages, and invited some newspaper editors and correspondents to publicize the color cotton of Suzhou.
At the same time, it also actively participated in various trade fairs and investment promotion meetings, expanded the influence and reputation of colored cotton, and enhanced the popularity of Suzhou colored cotton. Many large colored cotton manufacturers such as Beijing Tian Cai, Jiangsu Ding Guagua and Zhejiang Shuai ma have established good long-term partnership with the association. On the other hand, we should go out and go deep into the colored cotton factories to publicize products, introduce quality and understand the market, and sign the colored cotton sales contract with the colored cotton manufacturers, which not only guarantees the sale of colored cotton, but also defuses market risks and increases the income of farmers.
In 2006, the association signed a contract with the manufacturer for more than 600 tons of lint supply and marketing contract. The color cotton association has truly become an organizer and protector of agricultural efficiency, farmers' income and profits.
Four, standardize management and do well the "brand" articles.
In order to regulate trading behavior, maintain market order and ensure the interests of farmers, the association has adopted effective protection measures.
First, we should clarify the rights and obligations of farmers and enterprises and standardize their production and operation. Through the form of a legal adviser, the association helps enterprises and farmers regulate the contents of contracts. The terms and conditions of the contract stipulate clearly the rights and obligations of farmers and enterprises, and specify specific items such as product quality grading standards, acquisition time, price and payment of goods, so that farmers and enterprises can follow the rules of production and operation to ensure that the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises and farmers are not infringed.
Two is the association formulated the "Suzhou town colored cotton production technology regulations", issued to each peasant hand. The "technical regulations" has made specific provisions from five aspects, namely, the planting, fertilization, pest control and picking of colored cotton, so that the whole town's color cotton production has gone to standardization and quality.
