Henan'S Textile Exports Declined For The First Time In February This Year.
According to the data provided by Zhengzhou customs, in February this year, the export value of textiles and clothing in Henan was 70 million 360 thousand US dollars, down 12.7% from the same period last year.
This is the first decline since 2008, reflecting the grim situation of Henan's textile industry.
"The biggest problem for enterprises is the shrinking of overseas markets and the reduction of orders," the head of a garment export enterprise in Zhengzhou told reporters.
Our orders have decreased by 20% over the same period last year. "
It is understood that the top 5 export commodities of Henan textile industry mainly include household textiles, cotton machine fabrics, synthetic fibers, men's clothing and women's clothing.
From the point of view of the structure of export products, most of them are low value-added primary products, which have strong substitutability and weak competitiveness in the international market, such as jeans, some only sell more than ten yuan RMB, and are used as tooling in foreign countries, and their own brands are few.
Besides, garments are mostly exported by general trade mode, and the processing trade mode has not been fully utilized. The number of export garment enterprises is not large and the scale is small. The export areas are too concentrated, mainly concentrated in the European Union and the United States, and are greatly affected by the financial crisis.
Xiang Yanjuan, general manager of Hongye Garments Co. Ltd. of Henan, one of the ten largest exporter making foreign exchange enterprises in Xinxiang, believes that although the state has repeatedly raised the tax rebate rate of textile exports, it is more important for enterprises to increase the added value of products and enhance their competitiveness in the international market. At the same time, we must overcome the passive situation of over concentration and over reliance on middlemen in the export areas, directly sign contracts with foreign businessmen, declare exports, and carry out commissioned processing trade and processing trade.
