New Passport Photo With New Standard

The head of the exit and Entry Administration Department of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau reminded that the new passport has been adopted with new standards. The passport applicant and the business department engaged in passport photo shooting should pay special attention to the implementation of the new standards.

According to introduction, the new People's Republic of China passport will be phased out in all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government this year.

The quality and security of the new passports are close to the international standard.

When the passport is issued, the personal data, including the photo of the holder, is printed once and replaced the original photo sealing method.

This practice will effectively prevent the counterfeiting and alteration of passports.

The exit and Entry Administration Department of the public security organs hereby reminds the passport applicant that the photos of the new passports must be straight sided frontal, bareheaded, colored, single person, half body certificate photo, glossy photo paper, background color is white or light blue; the photos of white clothing should be in a light blue background color, and the best use of white background in other garments; the portrait should be clear, rich in level and natural in appearance.

Public servants are not wearing standard clothing, and children are not wearing red scarves.

The size of the photo was 48 mm x 33 mm, the head width was 21 mm - 24 mm, and the head length was 28 mm - 33 mm.

It is understood that the photos of a one-time snapshot, reproduced photos or photographs printed by color printers which do not meet the above requirements will be rejected by the exit entry administration departments of the public security organs when applying for passports.
