The school set up the World Expo career dress design team, led by Liu Xiaogang, who worked hard to tackle the problem and finally came to the fore from many of the design teams participating in the competition. Accordingly, Liu Xiaogang and his team refined the design concept of Shanghai World Expo professional uniforms and shared them with all competing teams. The Expo career dress designed by Liu Xiaogang has four themes: "happiness, harmony, ritual and illusion". It contains happiness, harmony, etiquette and technology. In the design process, it is common that all night long. Before leaving the manuscript, Liu Xiaogang worked for 48 hours in order to improve every detail.

Expo stadiums are fixed buildings while Expo occupation wear is "active scenery". At that time, what kind of "active scenery" will be presented before Chinese and foreign visitors? Liu Xiaogang revealed that each category of Expo career clothes designed by this time includes many sets of costumes and accessories, plus a total of more than 30 sets. For example, the uniform of visitors, guests, drivers, etc. includes shirts, jackets, trousers, skirts, Qipao, neckties, scarves, etc. The volunteers wear T-shirts, trousers, vest, rainproof jackets, backpacks, shoes, kettle and other accessories. All categories of professional wear are long and short, covering the three seasons of spring, summer and autumn.
