The simplest way of skirt design is to divide the basic type of the two piece half skirt into several parts.

Usually, the skirt prototype is a simple half skirt. But because it is made of paper, it can be folded and used. The same pattern can be used for the front and rear centerlines of the four pieces of skirt. The front and back pieces are divided into two parts.

Or the same basic pattern, 4 pieces will be further folded to get 8 pieces; again the same fold, you can make 8 pieces into 16 pieces. The prototype of the skirt can be divided into 6 pieces, which can be further divided into 12 pieces. 6 piece skirts are usually called "Apron". This is a familiar style and can be designed by various styles of skirt. In principle, each basic skirt type (standard skirt, straight skirt or full round skirt) can be divided into any number of cutting pieces, which can be the same or different. If we make full use of the "line" or the basic type of change, we can get quite a lot of styles. In fact, some shape lines are more suitable for multi chip designs. For example, the molding line of full round skirt is warped outside. Others are suitable for skirts with less cutting.

Style A 4 skirt, the front middle stitch is replaced by the buttons along the front centerline, so there is a need for a door (at least 3~4cm). If it is to make a dress skirt, then there can be no provincial road, and all sutures should be straight lines, and the prototype is only suitable for the dress body.

The direction of the straight yarn is indicated on the pattern (SG). Because the front piece has buttonholes, the center line should be straight before, and the rear piece should be straight from the middle axis of each piece, because this will increase the draping feeling of the skirt. The general post middle suture is also almost straight, unless sometimes it is inclined to make the contour line more balanced, so that the skirt will expand evenly around the body, instead of being flat at the center line, but warping at the side seam. If the centerline is straight yarn, this will happen.

The style B 8 piece skirt is made by cutting 4 pieces of skirt into two halves from the middle. First, draw the front and back parts of the prototype skirt prototype, then fold each piece as if it were a straight yarn to mark. Sometimes a small part can not be fully folded, but it doesn't matter. The 1/4 round skirt prototype is also used in this type. It uses the advantages of the prototype skirt prototype, that is, having a standard geometric shape, not necessarily a part of the circle. The pattern C divides each piece of 6 skirts into twelve pieces. In fact, only the front and rear sides are used, because the front and back pieces are half sided.
