Sportswear Serge&Nbsp; Blanco Single Stock Check In Progress
The French luxury sports apparel designer and retailer SergeBlanco expanded the RFID tracking system adopted by the company in 2009, testing the tag's inventory tracking application at retail level in a store.
If the test is progressing smoothly, the company plans to have a handheld RFID reader in other retail stores to track all stores receiving and sending products to the store shelves, and in the fitting room.

The store testing the system is located in Toulon, France, using Tagsys's RFID reader and software.
Last year, Tagsys also provided initial supply chain visibility solutions for SergeBlanco.

The single grade labelling, the adoption of store RFID reader, will further enhance the advantage of this technology, MathieuPradier, head of company operations.
Initially, the company was at production point for each item.

The main purpose of labeling is to improve logistics management, he said.
At that time, the company wanted to increase the capacity of its distribution center to manage annual growth of 30%.
When this goal was achieved, he explained that SergeBlanco began looking for other applications of the technology.
According to Pradier, if Toulon successfully applies this system to improve inventory visibility, reduce shortages, reduce labor costs and increase sales, the company will plan to install the system in all 40 stores.
SergeBlanco is mainly made.

It sells in its stores and 320 third party retailers such as France, Russia, Ireland and Dubai.
Due to the rapid growth of the company, in 2008, the SergeBlanco assessment needed to expand its distribution center or optimize the existing logistics.
The company has chosen second ways to obtain visibility by using RFID tags (stickers on manufacturing sites).
The company is now using RFID to track the location of goods - receiving goods from the distribution center to the shops - ensuring that the goods are delivered to the correct purpose at the right time.
Since March 2010, Toulon store employees have started using 5 TagsysHHU-400 handheld readers to read labels. When stores receive clothes, they take stock inventory at stores.
Toulon store staff perform inventory inventory every day and use handheld readers to read all the RFID tags on the store.
When items are purchased, employees are identified by the bar scanner of the cash register terminal.

Then remove the label.
"They are currently providing the best mode of operation," said AlainFanet, President of Tagsys.
Employees use hand-held machines to check all items in stores - back-end inventory and distribution - every hour.
The company plans to assess the impact of the process on stocktaking, increase or decrease hours and additional benefits from the technology application.
A Tagsys fixed RFID reader installed in the fitting room gets the ID code of all garment labels brought into the fitting room.
This information is then compared with the POS data to determine that the item is tried but not purchased.
Another fixed reader is installed in the store.

The reader reads the tag ID code, and the store also knows which garment is removed.
When a store or a handheld reader reads the tag's ID code, the information is sent to the back-end system of the company, where the Tagsys middleware e-Connectware compiles the data and pfers it to the inventory management software of the SergeBlancoERP system.
The store can then use this information to understand the store's existing stock and the clothes lost in the store, then synchronize the POS data to determine whether the item is sold or when it needs to be re ordered.
The distribution center has proved that RFID can reduce labor, SergeBlanco said.
Before the adoption of RFID, in the busy day, the distribution center required 10 workers to receive 25000 items.
Tagsys after installing the system, only two employees can complete the same workload - 35000 items can be received.
If replenishment is needed, the system will inform the staff of the distribution center.
$396000, the company's annual budget, maintains the upgrade system. Fanet says it includes extending applications to other stores.
So far, RFID has saved the labor of distribution centers by automatically receiving and pporting data.
The import and export time of goods is reduced by nearly 10 times, which means that the distribution center can accommodate the growth of 40-50% volume.
