Rui shoes industry specializes in plastic beach shoes. The manufacturers are in Jinjiang, Fujian. They had business contacts with Philippines merchants 10 years ago.
At that time, only considering that the weather was hot, the local people wore sandals all year round, and there would be a certain market.
But the beginning is not smooth, the order of every month is only a few thousand pairs, and then gradually improve the craft and innovative style, only to attract more and more customers' return.
"Our shoes are mainly made of PVC and EVA materials. The shoes are very soft, with lots of colors and styles, so people there like to wear them."
Ke Qinling said.
In recent years, the volume of business is about 10 million pairs a year. After tasting the sweetness, they simply handled the processing plant in the local area, and directly produced and sold them locally.

The financial crisis in 2008 brought a lot of impact to their business, and orders were reduced by about 30%. This is why they came to Yiwu to set up points.
"The exportability of the Yiwu market is very high, and its attraction to foreign businessmen is large. Our previous market is basically in Southeast Asia, and now we want to further develop Africa and the Middle East market."
Ke Qinling told reporters.
The accumulation of two years has gradually expanded their customer base, and now there are about 200 thousand pairs of shoes sold elsewhere.
The completion of the China ASEAN Free Trade Area this year has brought a favorable turn to the sales of Southeast Asian market.
"This year is very strange, our price has gone up, but the demand has increased substantially."
According to him, due to the lack of people, the labor cost of the factory has increased, and the cost of raw materials in the international market has also risen, resulting in a certain increase in the price of shoes, but the demand has expanded.
He feels that this is mainly due to the completion of the China ASEAN Free Trade Area. Now, it is not only convenient for logistics, but also has many advantages in terms of Taxation, which greatly reduces the pressure of enterprises and broadens the development space.
Therefore, their products also attract many new customers to take the initiative to come.
"Of course, we want to further expand the market, and now we have a certain business relationship with Thailand. We are ready to expand the market of other neighboring ASEAN countries."

Many customers in the Yiwu market come from the Middle East and Africa, and African countries are opposite to us. So their beach sandals are now in the low sales season.
ASEAN countries are different. Most of them are in the subtropics and tropics. They are hot and humid all the year round.
But unlike those in Africa and the Middle East, ASEAN countries value product quality more than low prices.
"Like our old customers over there, many of us only recognize our brand, so when the financial crisis happened, we were relatively stable compared with many similar enterprises.
Now, they will also tell other salesmen that this is the reason why our market share is rising. "
Ke Qinling told reporters.
To maintain good cooperative relations with those businesses in ASEAN, the most fundamental thing is to have excellent quality of their products, which will also help solve trade frictions.
