Setting up medical points to prevent heatstroke
Li Weiping said that during the rush hour of Expo Park, ambulances in the park will run at full capacity.
To meet the needs of medical emergency in the park, the health department has added 2 ambulances on the basis of the original 5 ambulances in the park.
At the same time, outside the fence area of the Expo site, there will be 24 hours standby for communication command, mass casualty pfer, medical emergency equipment and other special emergency vehicle.
13 emergency stations around the park (Puxi 7 and Pudong 6) each increase 1 ambulances.
In view of the increasingly hot weather and queuing heat stroke, temporary medical points will be set up at the main entrance of the Expo site at the peak of the rush season.

According to the bulletin of the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau, 2198 people were admitted to 5 medical stations in the park since World Expo opened the park, of which 526 were injured.

Li Weiping suggested that tourists should reasonably distribute their physical strength and avoid walking more. In addition, remind tourists not to take cooked food as much as possible and guard against intestinal infectious diseases.
From the opening of Shanghai World Expo in May 1st to 24 hours in May 7th, 5 medical stations in the park have received 70 heatstroke patients, among whom mild heat stroke is the main factor.
Li Weiping said that many tourists suffered heatstroke due to physical overdraft.
He suggested that tourists should arrange their activities properly and not overwork and take a rest.
