Clothing Exports Remain Cautiously Optimistic This Year.

Since the first quarter of this year, China's textile and garment exports have resumed growth due to signs of international and domestic demand, but the appreciation of the renminbi and the rising cost of production factors will still impact the textile export enterprises. The export situation of China's textile industry is expected to be cautiously optimistic this year.

On the 17 th, I learned from the China Textile Industry Association that in 2010, before March, China's textile and apparel exports were 39 billion 254 million US dollars, up 15.20% over the same period last year, of which China's textile and clothing exports increased by 17% compared with the same period. From 1 to April this year, China's textile and garment exports increased by 15.54%.

According to the insiders, the two digit growth of China's textile industry exports in the first half of April this year shows that the whole industry is steadily improving. At the same time, it should be noted that the sharp rebound in export data is partly due to low base driving. From the external factors affecting exports, the external demand of developed countries such as Europe, America and Japan is still in the doldrums. The rise of raw material prices and labor costs has made enterprises more and more stressed. Besides, the appreciation of the renminbi will also be an indisputable fact. To sum up, the overall trend of textile exports this year will remain cautiously optimistic. The growth rate of textile exports in the second half of this year will be lower than that in the first half of this year. The export growth of the whole industry will be between 5% and 10% this year.
