Pakistan July -4 Textile Exports &Nbsp; 84.6&Nbsp; 100 Million US Dollars

The Federal Bureau of statistics of Pakistan reported that in the first 10 months of this fiscal year, Pakistan's textile exports increased by about 7% to 8 billion 460 million US dollars, compared with 7 billion 905 million US dollars in the same period last year.

Data show that in 2009-10 -4 July, raw cotton exports surged to US $194 million 154 thousand, compared with us $80 million 360 thousand in the same period last year, so the growth rate is about 140.19%.

Similarly, cotton yarn exports also showed an increasing trend.

Cotton exports reached $1 billion 210 million, an increase of 32.13% over the previous year, compared with exports of $916 million 461 thousand last year.

However, during the 10 months, exports of cotton, cotton combs and combed products, knitwear and bedding decreased by 10.69%, 52.06%, 0.7% and 0.61% respectively.

In July 2008-09 -4, cotton exports amounted to 1 billion 641 million US dollars. In July 2009-10, exports decreased to US $1 billion 465 million in July, and cotton combs and combed products decreased to US $8 million 974 thousand, compared with us $18 million 718 thousand in the same period last year.

Similarly, the export of knitwear and bedding decreased from $1 billion 434 million and $1 billion 408 million to $1 billion 424 million and $1 billion 400 million respectively.

Bath towel exports increased by 4.83%, tents, canvas and tarpaulin exports increased by 5.95%.

Garment exports increased by 5.21%, finished goods exports increased by 10.79%, exports of other textile raw materials increased by 31.37%, while the export of art silk and chemical fiber textiles surged by 66.94%.
