In the second quarter of this year, the city commerce and Industry Bureau carried out special monitoring on the quality of the products sold in the shopping malls, wholesale markets and exclusive stores of children's shoes and clothing in urban areas.

The monitoring conducted a total of 99 batches of children's wear and children's shoes. There were 42 batches of unqualified children, including 31 batches of children's wear and 11 batches of children's shoes, with a total failure rate of 43%.

According to the analysis, the main reason for the failure is the use of low grade dyestuffs when the products are dyed, and the treatment is not clean in the subsequent process.

The commerce and Industry Department has ordered relevant business units to suspend sales and recover the merchandise that has been sold.
