Iran Pavilion Holds National Pavilion Day Activities &Nbsp; Ahmadinejad And Yu Zhengsheng Attend.

The World Expo Iran National Pavilion Day event was held yesterday at the Expo Center.

Ahmadi Nejad, President of Iran, Yu Zhengsheng, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.

President Ahmadi Nejad attended the flag raising ceremony accompanied by Yu Zhengsheng.

Subsequently, the two sides held talks and attended the celebration activities of the Iran National Pavilion Day, and watched the wonderful performances of Iran artists.

During his speech, Yu Zhengsheng congratulated the Shanghai World Expo Iran National Pavilion Day.

He said that World Expo is a great gathering of the achievements of human civilization, providing opportunities and stage for countries to broaden their horizons and show themselves.

The Iran Pavilion in World Expo, Shanghai not only gives us the opportunity to savour the long history and cultural tradition of Iran, but also closely related to the theme of "integration of urban multiculturalism", so that we can feel the profound understanding and interpretation of the Iran people's urban diversity, economic prosperity, technological innovation and urban governance.

President Ahmadi Nejad congratulated Shanghai on the success of World Expo's speech.

He said, I am very glad to have the opportunity to come to this beautiful city in Shanghai to attend World Expo, Shanghai World Expo magnificent and beautiful Pavilion, enthusiastic visitors are impressive.

Tang Dengjie, vice mayor of Shanghai, Wu Hailong, Assistant Minister of foreign affairs and Liu Zhentang, deputy chief representative of the Chinese government of World Expo, attended the ceremony.

The design of the Iran Pavilion combines the characteristics of Islamic traditional architecture and the cultural elements of modern cities.

The whole exhibition hall is divided into three parts: the history, the present situation and the future of Iran. It shows the unique charm of Iran's cities and villages. It shows the deep thinking of Iran people on the harmonious coexistence of mankind and the sustainable development of cities. It also opens a window for people in China and other countries to better understand and recognize Iran.
