    In all walks of life generally affected by the financial crisis, the world's major high-performance fiber producers rely on technological innovation to increase production efficiency, reduce costs and develop new varieties, and the growth rate of demand basically stays at two digits. At the forum, Luo Yifeng, director of the national special synthetic fiber information center, introduced the progress of the world's high-performance fibers.

    With the continuous improvement of foreign technology and the continuous development of new markets, Xuan Wuyan (BS) fiber is expected to become the fourth largest high-strength and high modulus fiber. There are 4 BS fiber manufacturers in Ukraine, one of which is a joint venture with TOYOTA automobile in Japan in 2000, specializing in the production of automobile mufflers. Now the capacity is 1200t/a. Another company invented a new series of BS devices in 2006, which can reduce the production cost and make it less than E- glass fiber, thus opening up a broad market space, and now its capacity is close to 1000t/a. After many years of research and development in China, at least 6 companies have been put into production: Chengdu Tuo Xin Basalt Fiber Industry Co., Ltd. has developed a low energy consumption device to produce continuous roving and fabric, with capacity of about 300t/a; Mudanjiang electric power group basalt Co., Ltd. has formed 800t/a capacity; Zhejiang stone gold Basalt Fiber Co., Ltd. is building 1000t/a production line, and the total capacity of the country is estimated to be about 2600t/a; Beijing Anshan Fiber Co., Ltd. is planning large-scale andesite fiber factory.


    Developing new and high technology Fiber Dimension is the key.


    Under the guidance of the government's macroeconomic regulation and control and industrial policy guidance, the chemical fiber and related enterprises have developed rapidly through the combination of production, teaching, research and administration, collaborative research, independent research and innovation, and high technology, differential and functional fibers. Ye Yongmao, vice president of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, pointed out that at present, high temperature resistant Aramid 1313, super high strength polyethylene, polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polysulfonamide fiber, basalt fiber and so on have been in the stage of industrialization to industrialization, including carbon fiber integrated technology of raw silk, carbonization and composite materials, aramid 1414, aramid III, lyocell and other fibers are in the pilot stage of industrialization, and PBO, SIC, PBI and other fibers need further pilot test or industrialization.

    Carefully mounted carbon fiber


    Carbon fiber is one of the topics that the attendees pay close attention to. In the past 3 years, China has made breakthroughs in the research and development of carbon fiber. This is mainly reflected in the bottleneck restricting carbon fiber - breakthroughs in precursor technology. The carbon fiber produced by our own raw silk has basically reached the T300 level of Dongli, Japan, and initially met the needs of domestic military and civilian products. At the same time, it also broke through the pilot level of laboratory and production line, and has built several thousand ton production lines in China, and several thousand ton class production lines are under construction. Among them, Weihai expanded Fiber Co., Ltd. used the carbon fiber produced by self developed raw silk, after comprehensive and strict comprehensive evaluation, confirmed that it has reached the level of T300 fiber in Japan. The expanded kiloton production line was put into operation in 2008, and its carbonization equipment was introduced by Harper company, and its second sets of 1000 ton production line equipment have also been spanported. It is being installed and debugged, and the capacity of 3000 t/a will be built in the near future. Jiangsu Lianyungang Zhongfu Eagle Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd. has accelerated the construction of a 1000 ton production line, from the original silk to carbon fiber has complete independent intellectual property rights, equipment design and manufacture, and has started production trial operation in December 2008, long-term plan to 10000 tons of production line.


    Chen Shaojie, a researcher at Shenyang Institute of aircraft design, said that the global financial crisis of carbon fiber has ended. In 2009, the world's carbon fiber can achieve a new balance between supply and demand. In 2010, there will be more production than sales and oversupply. On the development of carbon fiber, Chen Shaojie put forward five suggestions: prudent carbon fiber, such as no reliable technical source, independent intellectual property rights without raw silk and carbon fiber, and no strong investment capability, so that carbon fiber products need to undergo strict technical evaluation; attention should be paid to the development of downstream products; the application in the industrial field is the direction of product development; attention should be paid to design and manufacturing technology.
