Fire In Zhangjiakou Shoe Factory

Gao Mou, a welder qualification, was working in a shoe factory at the ancient Hong Miao street in West Bridge, Zhangjiakou, when the welding slag was splashed on the raw material of shoe making, causing a fire.

A fire broke out at a shoe factory near the ancient Hong Miao street in West Bridge near noon on June 20th.

According to witnesses, the four floors of the workshop were almost surrounded by smoke, and from time to time there were flames coming out of the windows of the first floor.

Inside and outside the workshop, broken glass, shoe making raw materials, machinery and equipment parts scattered in one place.

Outside the fire scene, many past citizens were watching, and 13 fire engines arrived nearby.

At 11:56 on the same day, 119 command center received the alarm, immediately dispatched a squadron, three squadron and five squadron 36 fire officers and soldiers rushed to the scene of the incident, to carry out fire fighting and rescue.

Qiaoxi public security fire brigade also rushed to the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.

According to the fire brigade of Qiaoxi public security fire brigade, the fire overheated area was 252 square meters, and a lot of leather and other raw materials in the workshop were on fire, and seven or eight units were burned. Fortunately, the fire did not cause casualties.

According to the investigation, the cause of the fire was the demolition of a high heating building on the two floor. Under the condition of no welder qualification, gas welding and cutting operations were used. The slag was spilled onto the ground floor and ignited the leather and shoemaking equipment stored in the warehouse and workshop.
