The most international leather exhibition in China, the organizer of China International Leather Exhibition, held a media meeting in Guangzhou recently to inform the latest preparations for the exhibition.

Two other closely related exhibitions, China International Footwear Exhibition and China International luggage and leather garment and apparel exhibition, will also be held.

The exhibition is co sponsored by China Leather Association and Hongkong Asia Pacific Leather Exhibition Co., Ltd.

According to Su Chaoying, Secretary General of China Leather Association, the total exhibition area of the three exhibitions will reach 690000 square meters.

Among them, the international exhibition area of about 23000 square meters, accounting for about 2 exhibition hall, the domestic exhibition area of about 46000 square meters, accounting for about 4 exhibition hall.

China International Leather Exhibition estimates that more than 900 companies will participate in the exhibition, while China International Footwear and China International luggage, Qiu Ji clothing and apparel exhibition estimates that the number of exhibitors is about 250.

It is understood that there are more than three hundred enterprises in China.

Data from the China Leather Association show that in the first quarter of this year, China's finished products and semi-finished products were exported to 8 kiloton, 70 million 460 thousand US dollars, up 99.3% and 87.5% respectively from the same period last year, and the import 202 thousand tons, 765 million US dollars, up 32.1% and 38.5% respectively compared with the same period last year.

From 1 to March this year, 220 million pairs of leather shoes exported from above scale leather shoes enterprises in China, 2 billion 40 million US dollars, up 4.6% and 9.1% respectively, and imports 3 million 500 thousand pairs, 123 million US dollars, down 8.6% and 3.1% respectively over the same period last year.

Leather clothing enterprises above Designated Size had 3 million 270 thousand leather exports, 168 million US dollars, up 35.1% and 35% respectively from the same period last year, and 24 thousand leather garments imported for the whole year, 6 million 980 thousand US dollars, up 22.3% and 31.3% respectively over the same period.
