Biomass Fiber: Green Chemical Fiber New Force

    2010/7/10 11:16:00 36

    Biopolymer Fiber

"China's chemical fiber industry has made certain achievements in the field of biomass industry, such as polylactic acid and fiber are being realized.

    Industrialization

1, 3-, propylene glycol, 1, 4- butanediol and other biological polyols, sugar aldehydes and other monomers, polymers and fibers have made rapid progress in deep processing. The new regenerated cellulose materials such as bamboo pulp and hemp pulp have been diversified, and the new solvent method has made significant breakthroughs in cellulose fiber manufacturing technology.

He Yanli, deputy director of the Industrial Coordination Department of the national development and Reform Commission, said in a special forum on biomass fiber and biochemical materials held in June 19th.

    She hopes

    Chemical fiber industry

We should seize this favorable opportunity and vigorously develop bio based products in line with the requirements of changing the way of development and taking the road of new industrialization as soon as possible. In particular, we should focus on developing new cellulose fibers such as cellulose, polylactic acid, seaweed, chitin, polyhydroxyfatty acid ester and other biomass fibers and biological monomers, such as polyols, sugar aldehydes, bio ethylene, and so on, so as to achieve partial replacement of fossil materials.

In the field of bio manufacturing, the development and application of biomass fibers are increasingly being received.

    Textile industry

    Concern.

As one of the organizers of China biotic industry conference, the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association has organized industry enterprises to participate in the fourth China biotic Industry Conference for the first time to show the innovative achievements made by China's textile enterprises in the development and application of biomass fiber, and organize a special forum on biomass fiber and biochemical raw materials to explore the new direction of biomass fiber development.

    Broad prospects for biomass fiber

At present, synthetic fiber made from petroleum derivatives accounts for 86% of China's chemical fiber output.

The excessive dependence on oil resources restricts the sustainable development of China's chemical fiber industry.

With the progress of society, the implementation of green ecological sustainable development strategy has become the main direction of the development of chemical fiber industry in the new era.

The development of biomass fiber and biochemical raw materials industry is in line with the demand for pforming the development mode of chemical fiber industry.

"Speeding up the development of renewable and biodegradable biomass raw materials is an important task for promoting the restructuring of chemical fiber raw materials and establishing a recycling economy development mode of chemical fiber industry.

Biotechnology will play an important role in upgrading and upgrading traditional chemical fiber and textile industry. The bio industry will promote the development of chemical fiber industry in a long time. "

Zheng Zhiyi, director of China Chemical Fiber Association.

Biomass fiber refers to a type of fiber derived from renewable biomass, including natural animal and plant fibers, regenerated fibers and synthetic fibers derived from biomass.

Vigorously developing biomass fiber can effectively expand the source of textile raw materials, make up for the shortage of domestic textile resources, and also be an important means to cope with the depletion of oil resources and realize the sustainable development of textile industry.

At present, China's biomass regenerated fiber industry has developed rapidly. In 2009, its capacity reached 1 million 910 thousand tons, accounting for 77% of the world's total capacity.

China's biomass fiber resources are abundant, such as crop straw and tree resources, which amount to about 30 billion tons. Marine shells and seaweeds are about 20 billion tons. The resources of animal and vegetable protein fiber are about 300 billion tons, which has broad prospects for development and application.

    Application still needs time

During the "11th Five-Year" period, China's chemical fiber industry has made gratifying progress in the development, application and industrialization of special fibers, but no fundamental step has been made in the research of biomass fiber and biochemical raw materials.

Zheng Zhiyi pointed out in his report on biomass fiber and biochemical raw materials "12th Five-Year and 2020 planning research".

Zheng Zhiyi said, in general, the basic theory and basic technology research of biochemical technology in China is still at the forefront of engineering development, but the industry's understanding of Biochemistry and molecular biology is relatively limited, and the important role of these basic sciences in upgrading the chemical fiber industry is not yet realized.

This requires close ties between upstream and downstream, further strengthening the integration of industry chain, supply chain and knowledge chain.

During the "12th Five-Year" period, the chemical fiber industry will focus on biomass fiber and biochemical raw materials, guide the industry to upgrade the industrial level by using biotechnology, pform the traditional regenerated fiber production process, and promote the green processing and new process and integrated technology of fiber materials.

    Zheng Zhiyi said.

At the special forum, Bai Zhizhong, director of the Taiwan textile industry comprehensive research institute, introduced the development of the biomass textile industry in Taiwan. Luo Wende, chief engineer of the China Textile Industry Design Institute, introduced the development of green material polylactic acid. Professor Xia Yanzhi of Qiingdao University introduced the development and research of new materials for marine fibers.

The development and application of hemp, Basel fiber, bamboo fiber and PDT bio based polyester were introduced by the general post office, the Shandong Hailong, Jilin chemical fiber and Haitian Group.
