Children'S Wear Competition Starts In China Children'S Wear Cup

The press conference of "China children's wear Cup" 2010 China eco children's wear creative design competition was held in Beijing.

Exploring talents to improve the design level of children's clothing in China

"There are 380 million children in China, nearly 40 children's clothing enterprises, but there is no big brand of children's clothing with core competitiveness.

The main reason for the lack of competitiveness of children's clothing in China is that the number of full-time children's wear designers in China is not large at present. Many designers mainly focus on adult clothing design, and only invest very little energy in children's clothing. The overall design level of children's clothing needs to be improved.

Gao Yan expressed the hope that the design competition will enable more children's wear designers to participate in the design of children's clothing.

According to the contest organizers, the deadline for the competition is September 1st.

Through the preliminary evaluation and submission of garment works, the finals will be held in Zhili Town, Wuxing District, Huzhou, Zhejiang Province in late October.

The competition has invited well-known domestic fashion designers, well-known professors in professional colleges and children's wear industry, and timely and authoritative experts to form an appraisal committee, which is responsible for formulating the competition review methods and works evaluation.

The director of the competition jury is composed of the CPPCC National Committee member, the famous fashion designer in China, and Wu Haiyan, vice president of the school of design, The China Academy of Art.

Zhili town of Huzhou is the first Chinese children's clothing town named by the China Textile Industry Association.

Chen Xintang said that the competition is aimed at the National Children's clothing enterprise designers, professional fashion designers and clothing institutions, art colleges and universities teachers and students soliciting contributions. The purpose is to excavate and cultivate clothing design talents, build bridges and passages of industrial clusters and design talents, help the children's clothing industry cluster successfully pform into an innovative and environment-friendly brand industrial cluster, and open up a children's clothing era with perfect combination of fashion, innovation, green health and business value.

Under the great pformation of the global economy and the trend of pformation and upgrading of industrial clusters, the 2010 China children's wear cup design competition is in line with the theme of this trend.

Under the theme of "ecology and childlike interest", the competition will explore the strategic platform for pformation and upgrading from manufacturing to creative industries for the industrial cluster, establish a strategic reserve for talents, provide the apparel industry with the practice of expanding and upgrading the brand of children's clothing, and also inject fresh vitality into the industrial clusters to be pformed.

In addition, in August 18th this year, the first phase of Zhili China children's wear city will be built in grand opening city and the two phase project will be started in October 2010.
