Mr. Tian Suning was born in Beijing in 1963.
He graduated from the Department of biology of Liaoning University in 1985, and then went to Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences to earn his master's degree in ecology.
He went to the Dezhou Polytechnic University in 1988 and studied in resource management. He received his doctorate degree in 1993.
From 1994 to 1999, Mr. Tian Suning participated in the creation of AsiaInfo Technology (China) Limited and held the position of chief executive officer.
In 2000, AsiaInfo was successfully listed on Nasdaq, becoming the first Chinese high-tech company to list in the US (NASDAQ:ASIA).
From 1999 to 2006, Mr. Tian Suning served as vice chairman and CEO of HKSE:0906 (NYSE:CN).
China Netcom is the leading telecom operator in China, and is also the leading international data communication operator in the Asia Pacific region.
In 2007, Mr. Tian Suning founded China Broadband Capital and served as chairman of the board.
Broadband capital is China's first equity investment fund focused on telecommunications, Internet, media and technology industries.
In 2009, Mr. Tian Suning founded Tian Yun Technology and served as chairman.
