According to the accounting verification of the Taizhou environmental protection administration, in 2009, the amount of new chemical oxygen demand reduction in the city of Wenling was 578.2 tons, and the amount of sulfur dioxide reduction was 68.08 tons. The two indicators decreased by 7.89% and 8.93% respectively over the previous year, exceeding the target set by the municipal government at the beginning of the double reduction of 4%.
