Environmental Friendly Zippers Will Become The Future Trend

Fujian zipper chamber of Commerce held the four two general meeting.

Reporters learned from the meeting that in the first half of this year, the production and sales of the zipper industry witnessed explosive growth, with obvious signs of recovery in the industry.

However, due to the increasing demand for environmental protection in China, the new environmental directives in foreign markets are frequent. In the second half of this year and in the next few years, environmental friendly zippers will become a trend.

During the financial crisis, the zipper industry in Fujian kept warm and collectively fought for orders, which had passed through the most difficult period.

Since the fourth quarter of 2009, the zipper industry has been gradually warming up.

Statistics from zipper branch of China Metal Products Association show that in 2009, sales of zipper products reached 34 billion yuan, an increase of 6% over last year.

Among them, the Fujian area has completed sales of about 4 billion 800 million yuan, accounting for 12% of the total sales of the country.

"Entering this year, the zipper industry is showing signs of warming.

The demand for clothing bags is showing a rigid growth trend. Most enterprises are in a state of insufficient supply, and even some enterprises' performance has increased by 100% compared with the same period last year.

National Hardware Association zipper branch director Shi Nenghui introduced.

However, as the industry recovers, enterprises are facing more and more challenges.

"In the second half of this year and the next few years, as the downstream industry scale and market demand continue to expand, the number of brand enterprises and foreign enterprises in our customer groups will increase, which has higher requirements for the quality and service of zippers.

Recently, the EU has introduced some new environmental directives, which require our products to meet higher standards in terms of environmental protection, ecology and safety.

In this regard, Xu Shuhu, President of Fujian zipper chamber of Commerce, suggested that the future zipper industry should vigorously develop "low pollution, low energy consumption and low carbon" three low environmental zippers.

"We should start with environmental protection technological pformation in terms of fiber, fuel, auxiliaries, electroplating, painting and so on. At the same time, we should start with clean, hygienic and low-temperature workshops, and produce environmentally friendly zippers that can meet international standards."
